I chose myself once and moved accross the country where I became so happy, but then I put my parent's well being above my own and moved back home where I'm unhappy. I had the courage to leave, but not the strength to stay. Keep on having the strength to choose yourself every single day Phoebe!! And don't worry, all the youtube channels I listen to youtubers are at least in their 30s, people with wisdom and life experiences are much more interesting and their videos have more depth. It is a Magical Place, isn't it ? Koh Lanta , Our favorite part of our trip to Thailand. I know we've been everyway Haha. Harriet and I enjoyed the wonderful snorkeling. We enjoyed hiking Koh National Park. Walks along the beach .Phoebe , the video was done so well. You are so worth it. Enjoy your life. Harriet and I are in our 60's. You inspire , inform and educate. Even as Thai, Lanta island is my more and more favorite destination for vacation, I just took vacation at this island in the last month. Everything and every place on island are nice and pure nature and environment and also so quiet and personal private life, and importantly sincere and wholehearted local people.You are so good luck that choosing such an amazing island to charge your energy and make your life nearly nature. In fact, nature is necessary to all our life and I am so glad to see you smiling ,being happy and fun feeling all the time on Lanta island and do hope you are safe and getting nice time and nice place in your heart forever. Truly enjoyed the new “coming up” quick shots! Also like the info you give at the bottom (time of year, etc). * Like how you constructed your snorkeling trip. Short shots that tell the whole story of getting on the boat, relaxing, snorkeling and then a great lunch. Well done. Great pacing. * Meeting people who recognize you has to be a thrill. Enjoy the “off script” moments of you interacting with the kids. So much fun! When able, involving those you meet adds a great element. * The best part of these new videos on your own is your willingness to open your heart to us all. As a fellow introvert, I can appreciate the courage that takes. It adds a great human touch to your travel vlogs. Keep those moments coming, as they occur to you while on your travels. * Thai Boxing: How awesome to do something different that’s unique to where you are! Like how you framed those shots. Mix of handheld shots with wide shots of the workout is a great combo. (Also, where’s the “rough part of Brisbane”? Hey Phoebe. Another solid video from you. I really resonated with what you had to say in this video about doing something for yourself, which makes you happy. We only have so much finite time in this world and why not keep doing what you're passionate about and what makes you happy. Yes I agree you have to think about yourself sometimes rather than try to please others and ending up not being happy. I think you are blessed to be able to make a living traveling and living your life and showing others around the world what beauty there is out there. And maybe using your platform can inspire others to get out of your mundane routine and take some chances. That's what I did back in 2001 when I started traveling (only for pleasure though. We are so glad you take us with you so we can recall times when we felt free as a bird and travel was all that mattered ..or just dream of living a more relaxed, exciting and pampered life while we sit on the couch and wonder where to start ( thats me at the moment 😂)

We Stayed at the Wari Warren resort last month but visited the Pimala resort and spa and had a tour round the hotel, love the relaxing atmosphere of Koh Lanta have a great time
I just googled it! Wow, looks a beautiful beachfront spot as well :) So glad you got to have a look around Pimalai as well. How amazing are the sunsets on Lanta? I only got one really good one, the other two were rained out. Wished I'd had longer!

Hiya! It's me again, back from my road trip from Adelaide to Perth and here to watch your vlogs again 😃. Your snorkelling reminds me of Fishery Bay and some other places along the South Coast where you could snorkel and surf with seals and dolphins playing around you. Such an incredible experience. Sometimes it's so good having some me-time at sea, no matter if it's on a boat or at the beach or just swimming or diving. Me-time is underrated and so is solo travel. You ordered spicy in Asia, you're living on the edge 🥵. All those cold drinks look so tempting 🤤. Mango shakes are the best. Thanks for sharing and I'm onto your next video 🤙

Oh bless you, thank you SO much - you've no idea how much that means to me :) Sometimes I go to edit those spots out and then I think back on comments like this and leave it all in! haha oh my gosh - you know, when I had a job I hated, I looked like I was a hundred. I think there's a lot to be said for happiness that radiates from within and the impact that has on your appearance! I honestly used to look like the Gollum. Anyway, some of my favourite skincare products are La Roche Posay toner, the COSRX snail mucin, vitamin C and good morning cleanser, the All Clean cleansing balm, the Beauty of Joseon glow serum and most importantly Hamilton Everyday Face 50+ sunscreen (but I also don't drink alcohol anymore, I exercise and try to eat lots of whole foods... I think all of that working together is important for good body health, including the skin!) sorry for such a long winded reply there haha I'm just super bloody passionate about health from the inside out! :D

Loved this video so much! Your Muay Thai adventures were an absolute highlight 😀 I went to a similar session once, got kicked in the thigh and vomited for a few hours afterwards. Whilst not my finest moment I sure did feel tough as heck afterwards! Not "get into a fight at Chermside Westfield carpark at Christmas" tough though. Those mums mean business! I loved every single shot in this video, the colours were very rich and deep. New camera? New LUT's? It all looked very high end and breathtaking. Surprisingly great low light footage as well. The ISO on my canon is so bad in comparison. Thank you for another great video, I'm looking forward to the next one!👍
😂😂😂 not the thigh kick!! I was COVERED in bruises. Everything hurt. I can see why people who do that all the time are absolutely jacked. Yesss I find the low light on the Nikon much better than the Canon I had! Haha I would say it’s the beauty of the destination making everything look so good and very little to do with me 😂🥰

I think both are beloved spots for tourists but I’d say Lanta feels quieter, less ‘touristy spots’ and a more laid back pace. The most un-touristy island I’ve been in Thailand was Koh Yao NoI (there’s an older video of it here on the channel if you want to see it - that was suuuuuper quiet)

Hey Phoebe. Another solid video from you. I really resonated with what you had to say in this video about doing something for yourself, which makes you happy. We only have so much finite time in this world and why not keep doing what you're passionate about and what makes you happy. Yes I agree you have to think about yourself sometimes rather than try to please others and ending up not being happy. I think you are blessed to be able to make a living traveling and living your life and showing others around the world what beauty there is out there. And maybe using your platform can inspire others to get out of your mundane routine and take some chances. That's what I did back in 2001 when I started traveling (only for pleasure though. Wish I could make it a career. ) All the best to you Phoebe. Keep doing what you're doing.

We Stayed at the Wari Warren resort last month but visited the Pimala resort and spa and had a tour round the hotel, love the relaxing atmosphere of Koh Lanta have a great time
I just googled it! Wow, looks a beautiful beachfront spot as well :) So glad you got to have a look around Pimalai as well. How amazing are the sunsets on Lanta? I only got one really good one, the other two were rained out. Wished I'd had longer!

I love to travel and as my husband doesn´t fly/travel it means a lot of single trips and it´s a way to grow inside and to be friend with yourselve. Hiya! It's me again, back from my road trip from Adelaide to Perth and here to watch your vlogs again 😃. Your snorkelling reminds me of Fishery Bay and some other places along the South Coast where you could snorkel and surf with seals and dolphins playing around you. Such an incredible experience. Sometimes it's so good having some me-time at sea, no matter if it's on a boat or at the beach or just swimming or diving. Me-time is underrated and so is solo travel. You ordered spicy in Asia, you're living on the edge 🥵. All those cold drinks look so tempting 🤤. Mango shakes are the best. Thanks for sharing and I'm onto your next video 🤙

Oh bless you, thank you SO much - you've no idea how much that means to me :) Sometimes I go to edit those spots out and then I think back on comments like this and leave it all in! haha oh my gosh - you know, when I had a job I hated, I looked like I was a hundred. I think there's a lot to be said for happiness that radiates from within and the impact that has on your appearance! I honestly used to look like the Gollum. Anyway, some of my favourite skincare products are La Roche Posay toner, the COSRX snail mucin, vitamin C and good morning cleanser, the All Clean cleansing balm, the Beauty of Joseon glow serum and most importantly Hamilton Everyday Face 50+ sunscreen (but I also don't drink alcohol anymore, I exercise and try to eat lots of whole foods... I think all of that working together is important for good body health, including the skin!) sorry for such a long winded reply there haha I'm just super bloody passionate about health from the inside out! :D

I went to a similar session once, got kicked in the thigh and vomited for a few hours afterwards. Whilst not my finest moment I sure did feel tough as heck afterwards! Not "get into a fight at Chermside Westfield carpark at Christmas" tough though. Those mums mean business!
I loved every single shot in this video, the colours were very rich and deep. New camera? New LUT's? It all looked very high end and breathtaking. Surprisingly great low light footage as well. The ISO on my canon is so bad in comparison.

Yesss I find the low light on the Nikon much better than the Canon I had! Haha I would say it’s the beauty of the destination making everything look so good and very little to do with me 😂🥰

Would you say this is less touristy?
I think both are beloved spots for tourists but I’d say Lanta feels quieter, less ‘touristy spots’ and a more laid back pace. The most un-touristy island I’ve been in Thailand was Koh Yao NoI (there’s an older video of it here on the channel if you want to see it - that was suuuuuper quiet)
I’ve been thinking how I should write this for a few days, so here goes. Ages is just a number. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, I’m living proof as I was not expected to be here today. Take everything 1 day at the time, do everything to make yourself happy and glow like you are supposed to
