    Great video! Can you recommend a good DAW software program for the Alesis? I heard Battery and Ableton are good.

      Hey, you may try searching for royalty free sound effects. They are probably all over UA-cam. You can also join some sites that offer all types of sound effects.

    The KAT kick pedal is not a button like a switch It is a piezo trigger. You mentioned that this can be used like a small drum kit. I'd like to see more (demonstrated) about the hi hat pedal and how that works. Specifically which pedal is used.

    So by panning the kick pedal to the left and the rest of the kit to the right I will be able to Eq tu kick in my mixer?

      Well.. you wouldn't want to have a kick out of the center. Maybe for some experimental stuff. That's a very bizarre setup

      Try connecting it directly to your computer, using a usb cable, and use the built in sounds of garageband or Logic. It will automatically separate all drum notes (like your kick)

    well condsidering its over 7 years old, think its funny you are raving over tech that's so old....

      Who cares if it’s 7-years old? I wanted to check it out, so I did. By the way, based on the content on your channel, you seem very talented. Well-done.

      @@Everything-hw4jb Wasnt insulting you, they are 7 years old and you didn't even talk about how it aged. Like how does it stack up against the more recent pads.... This review made it seem like new tech. Have you compared it with other pads? Like a Roland. I mean tech has come a long way in 7 years, in most industries, how does this stack up. I am looking for a pad and you just didn't mention it and acted like it was new tech...

      @@HollowWeird I totally see what you're saying. When we were looking for one, we read tons of reviews and watched demos and we just landed on this one. Since I only had this one in hand, I thought I'd just do a review of that particular one, but you make a good point for future review videos.

      @@HollowWeird stop looking at the age then, the newest does not have to be the best one. Do you really believe you should buy a new one every time something new is released? Dont get mad about it ;)

    Hi.....how was your experience with playing the sample pad pro? Did you experience any cross talk in the recently manufactured ones? Also, does it allow you to change the pitch and speed of a sample?

    • @Everything-hw4jb
      @Everything-hw4jb  2 роки тому

      Hi! So far we haven't experienced any crosstalk with this model, but we haven't used it live a whole lot. As for changing the pitch and speed, I don't know. That's something I didn't think about searching, but now you have me curious.

      @@Everything-hw4jb Thanks for your response........I am planning to buy the same sample pad for gigs and as you already have one in possession, it would be a massive help if you could provide your valuable input on the speed and scale alteration of a sample. Also, if I may request, it would be great if you can create a video on it as it would benefit aspiring buyers like me.. 🙂

    Hi! Not sure if you're still picking up comments, but I've just bought my Samplepad 4 (which I appreciate may be different to the pro), and I'm having some issues with the card load. I can load sounds, but as soon as I switch kits or turn the unit off (or it indeed turns after after 10 minutes of not being used - another irritant) then I have to reload them all over again. Is there something I can do about this? Thank you

      Hey! I had the same problem but then realized I wasn't saving my work. I was pushing the two "Save" buttons but I realized I had to push the button on the right to actually save it. Once I started doing that it did save it. I could turn it off and back on and it would still have my work. I hope that helps.

    What kick pedal are you using sir?

    • @Everything-hw4jb
      @Everything-hw4jb  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Doostin. I'm using a normal kick pedal for my Tama drum kit, but it's attached to a Kat KickPad. You can easily fasten the regular kick pedal to the Kat.

    Wow, Thanks for the info on the converter on the Alesis website. I will have to give it a try. I have been getting very frustrated with trying to download samples, as the Alesis device keeps saying things are not in correct format. Apparently in order to download samples, they have to be 44.1 kHz and 16 bit wav files and I don't even know what that means. Cheers, Malcolm

      Glad I can help. I did find a file converter online that is specifically for these types of files. It works great! Once I run it through the converter, I have no problems. Check the Alesis website for it.
