These guys are like military buddies who get so close during training hardship, that they will die for each other. I'm sure the training is so brutal and they were both so young that they truly needed to establish that close friendship to survive the emotional drain attached to being away from family and home. Its so wonderful to see the level of love that they have for each, just like David and Jonathan from the Bible. To be willing to give that phileo love, due to social stereotypes, is too rare today and its so good to see it here. God bless them!
