We have a new 100,000 lb. capacity Kalmar at my job , it's so much nicer than the old Taylor's that make up the rest of our lift trucks.

Taylors feel like trash after driving a kalmar, i drive the dcg720-10lb. Feels like your driving a damn train cause there over 200,000 lbs, and will left anything.

@@steve.o33 Yep, the Taylor's are trash I agree. Constantly breaking down, and unbelievably loud. The Kalmar is silent in comparison. I hate Taylor forklifts....

@@johnchoate6909 the parts for kalmar are expensive, i had to order some new lift lines for are smaller kalmars, and 5 tilt lines was over 800 bucks a piece. But well worth every penny, taylors, the parts are cheap, its mostly pot metal, and just sucks. Anything made in Finland is always of good quality, atleast most the time. I tell you what though, i absolutely do not like changing the tires on these monsters. If it falls over, im dead.

@@steve.o33 Yep, we have a tire service come do it with a little crane on their truck. I ran over a chunk of metal with one of our 100000 lb Taylor's , and it wedged in between the dual front tires. It blew both at once, it sounded like a bomb went off. Tore up the rim too. I think those tires are 6k apiece, plus the rim lol. If you saw where we have to drive the damn things, it's inevitable these things happen.

@@johnchoate6909 absolutely, im in maintenance now for the forklifts, i had 3 story stack of sorted wood, 3 12 ft tall stacks, 7ft wide, and 38,000lbs a piece. Long story short, concrete gave out under my tire, and had 40,000lbs of wood fall on my cab. Took them 2 hours to get me out. Boss thought i had ptsd or some crap, and wouldnt let me drive again. 15 years down the drain, now i fix the damn things, and thats even more dangerous. Blow outs at 110psi with that volume will kill a man. If you had to go change your pants, perfectly acceptable. Cause you had a bomb go off under you lol.
