Beautiful playing!! The best recording of this on UA-cam!
I love this piece, which I just discovered on UA-cam. I feeled honored to have heard it. Dr. Manz, now 90, attends the same church in St. Paul, MN, as me and my family. His son is a pastor there.
Always loved Paul Manz' works. Thanks for sharing this.
Drop dead gorgeous. I enjoy all of your organ and choral posts so much.
I heard Paul Manz perform once in Newport News VA., at Trinity Lutheran Church. Never in my life had I heard such a mastery of the ORGAN keyboard. He was brilliant. He gave us a performance to remember. I wonder Joenwayne is he still living. After the service I shook his hand and he pulled it away. I think I squeezed to hard. Ha!!!!
This is one of my favorite organ works, and whenever I hear it, I would want to arrange it for concert band! It sounds marvelous!
Anyway, cheers for posting!
Your Austin organ sounds real good. I am a pipe organ tech in the Louisville, Ky area. Keep using it and take care of it.
Thanks,
Aknabea

I like this composition and your rendition! The tune on the swell manual reminds me of the jazz standard "Autumn Leaves" especially in the beginning. The harmony has many II-V-I chord sequences like the song. -Peter
great !
really nice piece to listen to, and what wonderful chords you have there on the choir division really really nice, going to find the music to this. don't possibly know how this is going to work on our two manual lol. keep it up.
5 Stars Wayne.

you said about the Evensong, i will try & see
