Being raised in a rural Christian church we would sing this hymn in times of dry weather, and ask God to provide his blessing of rain for the crops. Even in times of drought He still provides in His own way, with His showers of Blessings.
I thank God for He equipped my calling. I left my former church and sent me to traditional hymnal worship singing. I never played hymnal piano before but now I am in service for the Lord Jesus Christ. Very meaningful singing.
