Testing out coffee made from POOP? Is it any good?

In trying to keep our little mini series of testing out restaurants alive we decided to travel to Ubud.
We went to Folk Pool and Gardens. A beautiful restaurant and dayclub where you can enjoy food as well as drinks by a nice little pool. They rent out sunbeds, tipis and big beds as well as towels for you to use if you decide to use the pool.
The food was ok, but the place itself is really amazing. Great staff and good vibes.
Instead of having our coffee there we decided to go to a coffee tasting just outside Ubud. We got a tour of the place where we were learned about the ingredients in both various types of coffee and tea before getting to taste all of the types. All for free.
We also tested out Luwak Coffee which is coffee that is made from the Luwaks poop. But not how you think. The luwak is a master at smelling it's way to the best coffee beans and eating them. But it is only able to digest the first of the coffee beans 5 layers. So when the coffee bean is pooped out it is still undigested and whole. from here it is cleaned through different processes before the beans are roasted and ground down to be able to make coffee. And that coffee was GOOOOD!
Highly recommended even though it might sound a bit nasty, haha!
If you are interested to try this yourself then just google coffee tasting and you will find several around Ubud that are great. Probably other places on the island as well :)
