I farmed my rarity gear and the gear to allow me to use it while being res capped. People just don’t want to put in the effort. You don’t even need a full rarity set up. I feel like it's a pretty big design flaw that we need hundreds of rarity and a couple dozen divines (to unlock the league mechanic atlas passives) before mapping with any build feels like it's not a waste of time, regardless of build cost. Having to downgrade to fit in more rarity is probably the worst feeling ever. I'll be running around at a snail's pace until I can afford qotf.

Just gonna leave some thoughts on the rarity debate: While I do agree that reigning in rarity after letting it run wild for multiple weeks would be rough for those that didn't already benefit (until there is a clean slate at least), I am in favor of that approach, because early access should be used to make necessary changes, even if they are detrimental in the short term. EA should not be treated like a league. Also, even if I don't enjoy the effects of what Empy is showcasing, especially for the casual players trying to enjoy the game right now, his content helps a lot in catching these things early and getting issues like this tuned/looked at for the actual release. I'll also add that I like information being available to everyone looking for it, rather than kept by people who would rather profit off of keeping that information to themselves. Don't shoot the messenger and be respectful in your discussion.
Who cares? it's EA....just test things/etc and move on, this is the time to find broken things like this way before release. does "% rarity drop" includes "% drop rating"? I always thought that %rarity was only to get stuff like armors and weapons to drop from grey to yellow more often, but didnt affect drop rate of things that are already epic like orbs, exalted, divine orb , vaal orbs, etc...

1:00 considering the omen rolls a divine before applying the multiplier, isn't it ideal to use lower rolled uniques over higher ones, since the range of possible positive outcomes is greater than the range of negative ones??
Temporalis chest gives u around 4.5 sec cooldown reduction on skills with a cooldown which mean blink has 0 cooldown. Temportalis is extremely expensive and rare tho.
Rarity is fine but not on gear... increased rarity/quantity should come from Map Atlas Tree, Tablets or similar. It's cringe thinking someone with 400% Rarity farming T5s is making more currency than someone with 0% rarity farming T15+.
But than its not only the fault of rarity on gear, its more the fault of bad map designe. Rarity on gear is fine and a great way to make the end end endgame interesting, but u need to have a better game designe overall to handle it.
@@devn6568 Kinda disagree. The problem with rarity is opportunity cost. My build (demonform) runs 3 uniques and hp regen, which means I need regen + resists on every gear slot available. This means I have no room for rarity. But running no rarity means I'm getting like 5% of the loot of someone on a build with 300% rarity. So what ends up happening is people only play builds that can run rarity, and any build that demands specific uniques/stats gets relegated to the sidelines. Rarity cripples build diversity.
Has nothing to do with spark. They nerfed it 10 times from poe 1 numbers lol, just to get to poe 1 numbers in terms of flat damage you need to scale it to 40 lvl, which is impossible obviously. Its archmage scaling is trough the roof. Without it spark is trash, even tho it has x2 projectiles than it had in poe 1.

Lots of stuff are clear copy pasted mechanics from the first game, clear rush job to meet deadlines. I hope they nuke the shit out of the most overpowered stuff and make gearing and crafting more interesting quick while also fixing endgame to be less of a slog but it ain't gonna happen quick. There's no way the games properly ready for a full release in less than two years imo. Rarity is a bit broken right now and this is an opinion shared by quite a lot of people. It's hampering build diversity as well, because some builds can afford more affixes on their gear than others. The game is great and I enjoy it, but various aspects still need some work (as one would expect from an EA). Is trying to address those "babyrage?" That being said, I don't agree with removing it entirely. They should just make it like POE1 where it increases rares and uniques dropped but doesn't affect currency. That way it's still a useful stat and MF is a thing you can do, but it doesn't feel mandatory the way things are now.

I disliked magic find in POE1 and I dislike it in POE2. On anything but a leaguestarter, magic find was not a "useful stat" but mandatory to farm certain things. This led to lightning arrow deadeye meta and the same thing is repeating right now. Don't engage with the "babyrage" folks, they are not worth your time, trust me.
They really need to just buff all loot by like 20% and then get rid of rarity from all gear besides the few uniques that have it. Force people to take real significant punishment for choosing rarity builds. Leave rarity for map modifiers and precursors and atlas passives and you will have a way more stable economy that people can’t totally distort by stacking rarity like this.

The game is in early access and has been out for less than a month. I don’t think it was ever intended to be anywhere near perfect. It was released so we have something to play while we test what’s available and give feedback. I don't see the problem, people complain about Rarity, just put it on your own gear? It's only an issue now because there's limited things to do in the game, when leagues start rolling out it will normalize out.

I think the issue is it's so strong that it feels almost mandatory. When things are so strong that they feel mandatory, it just isn't enjoyable for players and usually means a nerf is needed. I have decent rarity gear and I'm playing a build that can afford the affix space, so it's not like this is some FOMO thing for me. I just agree that the design of rarity in the game is flawed and it would be better if it was more like POE1 where it only improves quality of item drops, not currency. It would still be strong, especially since T5 rares are a thing (upping the # of those is very strong whereas in POE1 upping rare drops basically didn't matter), but it wouldn't feel mandatory.

It's not going to be a problem, it's only a problem now because maps are basically for something to do after campaign. It's not the full system, everything will normalize out as they flesh it out but right now they're focusing on Acts 4-6
@@darkfang25 Currency is king in this game, it's usually what most gates progression. So if a stat can double or triple your currency drops, it's going to feel mandatory at end game regardless of what the league mechanic is (and most league mechanics will get scaled by this anyway). It was the same thing with item quantity in POE1. It was way too strong of a stat which is why they eventually removed it, but then for some reason made rarity in POE2 just as strong.

Been farming for 3 days on T13-T15 on 0% IIR (guess why I cant sustain T15?), dropped 1 div, near 100 maps, could change one item on the build, didnt help enough. Stuck farming for days and until the devs are back and patch it, it will only get worse. You got another divine? My bad, an upgrade now costs 5.

The trade site currently considers divines at somewhere around 5-8 ex, I honestly already forgot the specific number because it actually isnt that important - the important part being that anything listed in divines will appear before items at 10+ exalts. @@matgod2004 if you are relying only on drops to gear up, the problem is at you mate, yesterday i farmed like 21 divines and dropped only 1, if you can't sustain maps, something is wrong on your atlas tree or filter, i have almost a full quad stash of t13~t15 maps, never bought one map and my build it's full boss killer, 0 rarity %. I guess the problem is trying to farm the same way a stream full rarity playing in group does, there are tons of different ways to farm, breach, ritual, bossing, expedition, delirium, selling items, etc. just look for some mechanic that pleases you the most to enjoy farming

Temporalis chest gives u around 4.5 sec cooldown reduction on skills with a cooldown which mean blink has 0 cooldown. Temportalis is extremely expensive and rare tho.

Rarity is fine but not on gear... increased rarity/quantity should come from Map Atlas Tree, Tablets or similar.
It's cringe thinking someone with 400% Rarity farming T5s is making more currency than someone with 0% rarity farming T15+.
But than its not only the fault of rarity on gear, its more the fault of bad map designe. Rarity on gear is fine and a great way to make the end end endgame interesting, but u need to have a better game designe overall to handle it.

My build (demonform) runs 3 uniques and hp regen, which means I need regen + resists on every gear slot available. This means I have no room for rarity.
But running no rarity means I'm getting like 5% of the loot of someone on a build with 300% rarity.
So what ends up happening is people only play builds that can run rarity, and any build that demands specific uniques/stats gets relegated to the sidelines.
Rarity cripples build diversity.

Has nothing to do with spark. They nerfed it 10 times from poe 1 numbers lol, just to get to poe 1 numbers in terms of flat damage you need to scale it to 40 lvl, which is impossible obviously. Its archmage scaling is trough the roof. Without it spark is trash, even tho it has x2 projectiles than it had in poe 1.

Lots of stuff are clear copy pasted mechanics from the first game, clear rush job to meet deadlines. I hope they nuke the shit out of the most overpowered stuff and make gearing and crafting more interesting quick while also fixing endgame to be less of a slog but it ain't gonna happen quick. There's no way the games properly ready for a full release in less than two years imo.

They could just remove rarity from the game... I don't care about the people who already got rich from it, I think it's such a toxic game mechanic it doesn't need to be in the game. I would like for them to tone down the map modifiers as well, what's the point in getting +3 percent item quantity or something like that from the tree with the mods being this strong on the maps. Same issue as T17's in POE1, and everyone disliked that system. Just spamming chaos on maps hoping for good rolls is not a fun game mechanic.

They're entitled to their opinion, and early access is the perfect time to air critiques of the game. Rarity is a bit broken right now and this is an opinion shared by quite a lot of people. It's hampering build diversity as well, because some builds can afford more affixes on their gear than others. The game is great and I enjoy it, but various aspects still need some work (as one would expect from an EA). Is trying to address those "babyrage?"
That being said, I don't agree with removing it entirely. They should just make it like POE1 where it increases rares and uniques dropped but doesn't affect currency. That way it's still a useful stat and MF is a thing you can do, but it doesn't feel mandatory the way things are now.
@@brianh5844 It would be much better, instead of getting hundreds of worthless rare items every map, we could be getting 2-4 ones that could be worth something. I disliked magic find in POE1 and I dislike it in POE2. On anything but a leaguestarter, magic find was not a "useful stat" but mandatory to farm certain things. This led to lightning arrow deadeye meta and the same thing is repeating right now. Don't engage with the "babyrage" folks, they are not worth your time, trust me.
I just reached 85% rarity. I love it, fuck it, everyone go all in on rarity.... everything will just be super expensive....

They really need to just buff all loot by like 20% and then get rid of rarity from all gear besides the few uniques that have it. Force people to take real significant punishment for choosing rarity builds. Leave rarity for map modifiers and precursors and atlas passives and you will have a way more stable economy that people can’t totally distort by stacking rarity like this.

The game is in early access and has been out for less than a month. I don’t think it was ever intended to be anywhere near perfect. It was released so we have something to play while we test what’s available and give feedback. Anyone that bought a EA key signed up for the game to not be finished and to be a beta tester I don’t understand where everyone is missing this point

4. And most of this people which have so much ES have ZERO Armour and ZERO Evasion, meanwhile u can stack armour, evasion und 9k ES in Poe1 and the ES in Poe1 is thousand times more powerfull than in Poe2.
5. Its a ARPG. U should get OP if u invest so much time and currency. Sure it still needs Balancing, thats normal for an EA, but there should always be a point where u blast through bosses and maps.

I don't see the problem, people complain about Rarity, just put it on your own gear? It's only an issue now because there's limited things to do in the game, when leagues start rolling out it will normalize out.
They'll have to introduce much more rewarding and difficulty scaling content if rarity isn't to remain a problem though, the game is way too easy right now (and not just for meta builds) that it's just an instant pick modifiers on every slot you can possibly put it on. Degenerate game design
I think the issue is it's so strong that it feels almost mandatory. When things are so strong that they feel mandatory, it just isn't enjoyable for players and usually means a nerf is needed. I have decent rarity gear and I'm playing a build that can afford the affix space, so it's not like this is some FOMO thing for me. I just agree that the design of rarity in the game is flawed and it would be better if it was more like POE1 where it only improves quality of item drops, not currency. It would still be strong, especially since T5 rares are a thing (upping the # of those is very strong whereas in POE1 upping rare drops basically didn't matter), but it wouldn't feel mandatory.

It's not going to be a problem, it's only a problem now because maps are basically for something to do after campaign. It's not the full system, everything will normalize out as they flesh it out but right now they're focusing on Acts 4-6
@@darkfang25 Currency is king in this game, it's usually what most gates progression. So if a stat can double or triple your currency drops, it's going to feel mandatory at end game regardless of what the league mechanic is (and most league mechanics will get scaled by this anyway).
It was the same thing with item quantity in POE1. It was way too strong of a stat which is why they eventually removed it, but then for some reason made rarity in POE2 just as strong.

Been farming for 3 days on T13-T15 on 0% IIR (guess why I cant sustain T15?), dropped 1 div, near 100 maps, could change one item on the build, didnt help enough. Stuck farming for days and until the devs are back and patch it, it will only get worse. You got another divine? My bad, an upgrade now costs 5.

The trade site currently considers divines at somewhere around 5-8 ex, I honestly already forgot the specific number because it actually isnt that important - the important part being that anything listed in divines will appear before items at 10+ exalts. I thought the economy went mad before a friend of mine pointed that one out.
@@matgod2004 if you are relying only on drops to gear up, the problem is at you mate, yesterday i farmed like 21 divines and dropped only 1, if you can't sustain maps, something is wrong on your atlas tree or filter, i have almost a full quad stash of t13~t15 maps, never bought one map and my build it's full boss killer, 0 rarity %. I guess the problem is trying to farm the same way a stream full rarity playing in group does, there are tons of different ways to farm, breach, ritual, bossing, expedition, delirium, selling items, etc. just look for some mechanic that pleases you the most to enjoy farming
