This was by far the best scene in the entire performance. I remember sitting there watching the dancing lights thinking it was just part of the background and then being amazed when they came together to form Mufasa's face. It was fantastic!
I just Love how they used a Song from the second movie specifically for this section of the Scene its so fitting behind the meaning of Simba's Story and it makes the scene itself way more emotional and beautiful in a way
This was just spectacular, one of my favourite parts of the play and it’s my favourite song. I remember this, I was in year 6, two years ago and I was with my class, we were at the very top. Oh what’d I do to relive this experience with my friends and teachers again. ❤
Yesss!! Fr! Every time I listen to this song or see this performance, it IS a reminder that God is always with me! Even when I am confused about what path to take in my life!❤
I went and saw the musical with my dad and when they did the mufasa scene when he talked to his son I love that partI went and saw the musical with my dad and when they did the mufasa scene when he talked to his son, I love that part.❤❤❤❤❤❤

Am I the only one slightly conflicted that they used a sequel song for this. I know it fits the moment of the story, but I don’t know maybe it is just me.
The song was used before the sequel. It was on Rhythm of the Pride Lands (music inspired by/in the Lion King) and then they used that and other songs in the show.

Best musical ever, no contest
Agree
This song is so magical
This is my favorite part
I'm too!
but I know Japanese ver only.
God damn, that was the best depiction of the night sky I've ever seen besides the night sky itself
I was really like “ is no one gonna record this masterpiece piece?” Thank you! It’s so beautiful! Got me so emotional. 💕💕💕💕💕
It's disrespectful to the performers to record without their permission
Simply beautiful
Favorite song in the musical, hands down. Reminds me of my own ancestors.
Just saw this in Dublin last night, it was phenomenal and this song was my favourite!
This is why I love this show, an overgrown Lion mask.
Stunning, literally stunning, trying to find when Mufasa sings the same song
That would be “They Live In You”
My favorite part! Also, I always feel this song is a prayer to God ❤

Who’s Rafiki in this video? I can tell that’s not Tshidii Manye.
I was just a boy when I sew this musical,
This kinda freaked me out as a kid. Seeing this massive lion come out of nowhere
Was this recorded on Broadway? I’m so happy you posted this 😭😭
The set design is different now!?
Where’s the other rafiki?
She was sick
Mufasa looks mad with that face (the mask I meant)
@Dello Capasso Which Rafiki actress is this?
Zinchle Dube
Zinhle dube u/s
People need to watch this and understand why people get mad with that nepobaby who ruined a legacy with such a lame performance
Is this OK?
Is the pieces of mufasa's face is projected?
Yes they are project but don't tell the musical that I know

This song was in the musical before the sequel, so the sequel used this song for their opening scene.
When the song slaps this hard? Nah...it gets a pass.
