- The 2019 Motul Pirelli Australian Superbike Championship kicks off at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit for the first of seven rounds, held across four states. Penrite Honda Racing’s Troy Herfoss comes into this season as the two time and defending champion in Australia’s leading domestic motorcycle championship. But he will be facing extremely strong opposition from the likes of Wayne Maxwell, Daniel Falzon, Josh Waters, Bryan Staring, Cru Halliday and Glenn Allerton to name a few, as they try and wrestle the Number 1 plate away from him. It’s set to be a cracking season of Superbike racing and it kicks off at the Island.

What a great first race! 1 second between the top 5 riders and led most the way by a privateer. Wish moto america was this competitive.
Bad ass race and hell of a performance by Yamaha and Suzuki those two riders are amazing !!!!

no ASBK 2020 season at all?
23:31 Wayne Maxwell clearly backed off and that folks was the only reason Troy Bayliss was taken out. Wagner running wide had nothing to do with this incident, that being the case Maxwell could have taken the opportunity to pass on the inside without braking at all.
I actually went here and watched that race, it was amazing!
PS: in one of the rounds, one person was so shit in the race. He almost got lapped.
Bayliss had to go Asbk racing, rules in WSBK says he's too old😅 Fastest 50 year old on the planet by far.... By far😎

Race two was great. I wanted the privateer to win but was sad to see it go down that way.

looked like he mis -judged entry speed ,lever guard would not have saved him(i think)
