Hey Caleb, I'm just getting in to After Effects in school. Your tutorials have been a great help, so a massive thank you for your videos. Keep uploading! Your content is amazing! - from Belgium
Hey, I watched one of your text reveal tutorials, and really learnt from it. Thanks so much. I wanted to ask how do I put that text reveal in a different video without the background, I mean in a transparent way? Any help will be appreciated buddy. Thanks
i love your tutorials so much they have helped me get the grips of after effects quicker than i imagined. Is it possible for you to do a tutorial on animated saber effect.
Could be a dumb question, but what is the best way to write out full words like you did in the intro? I'm sitting here trying to figure it out, and I'm blanking. Great video though man, as usual.
Instead of typing just one letter and converting it into a shape layer like I showed, you'd simply just type out the full word that you want and convert it to a shape layer then.
Hey @Caleb Lancaster, I noticed on the preview at the beginning of the video, the write-on text had a bit of a drop shadow to them which made them stand out more. How do you do that?
Hey there, there's an effect in After Effects titled 'Drop Shadow'. Simply drag that onto your text layer and play around with the settings to find something that works!
Gaussian blur animated from 10.0 to 0.0 on an adjustment layer. I'd have it above all of the text I didn't want in focus, and then animate it to 0 when I wanted it back in. Gaussian blur closely resembles the blur of a camera focus, but After Effects does also have a blur called "camera lens blur" that works good as well.
That's because they're easy-eased keyframes, you're most likely using linear keyframes. Take a look at this part of my kinetic typography tutorial to understand how easing and linear keyframes work: ua-cam.com/video/LSKOBNMjaQY/v-deo.htmlm4s

Smart. .
🙋
For the shadow did you add an effect or just duplicated the layer and made it darker?
After Effects has an effect called "drop shadow". Used that for it
how can i create shape from text in cs3? is there any other solution in this problem, thanks man...
How did you make the camera focus transition on your rap typography "show me the money" video?

can i turn an image into a spahe layer?
How come your animations are smooth, they go slow - medium - fast - medium - slow. My animations go FAST. that's it.

is this possible for logos?
What kind of logo do you have?
Caleb Lancaster its a vector based logo, but it would need to be devided in layers. rounded shape logo.
