Goblet of fire was a SLOG and not just coz of the technical difficulties! This isn't my favourite of the movies, I finished filming it at 3 am for various reasons and I was trying to control my period induced mood swings so the unhingedness really is something this vid. Love that for us :P

What's sadder is that Durmstrang no longer has a Headmaster since Kakoroff ran off and was later killed
Viktor told Harry and the rest that the Durmstrang students were the ones operating the ship when they came here their Headmaster stayed in his cabin and left them to continuously maintain the magic needed to take the ship underwater for hours at a time
What the heck's up with that though? Like while he was still there to be headmaster I mean.

7:30 the shoulder squeeze of reassurance reminded me how annoyed i am that Harry named his children after Albus and Severus, then forgets the witch who would fight the dark lord for him if she could, who supported him, and was there for him in so many instances, and instead names his daughter after Luna. Luna? WHY LUNA??? Lily Molly would have been acceptable, Lily Minerva should be the correct name for his daughter. Lily Minny is the perfect nickname. I feel mad for Minerva.
I am 100 percent with you. Minerva is the most underrated in-universe character. Snape happened to be a double agent because he had an unhealthy obsession with Harry’s mom and Harry is all in on him, but McGonagall who has stood up for Harry for years, who would have raised him probably if Dumbledore allowed it, was shafted
@@cloudwatcher608 we don't get told much about Minerva's relationship to James and Lily, but we can assume it was good because she was willing to spend an entire day as a cat monitoring the dursleys, and as far as I can remember, not on the orders of Dumbledore, because her report on them being the worst sort doesn't change his mind. So I always assumed they were on good if not very good terms, and she was also willing to buy the broom for Harry, I see two contributing reasons for that, he is the son of James and Lily so she wants to treat him well, and Minerva is a raving quidditch fan who wants the Quidditch trophy in her office.
So I always assumed that if Dumbledore said to Minerva to stop teaching to raise and protect Harry she wouldn't want to stop teaching but would want to help Harry. I'm currently on the hunt for a good fanfic of Minerva raising Harry.
i do believe luna was a female version of lupin, but it was still a weird decision considering there was a character that was named luna

Between Myrtle in this (even though its a movie thing) and the love potions in Half-Blood Prince girls should have the same restrictions to the dormitories that boys do.

since the girls stairs turn to slides when a boy tries to go up there it should be the same for boys
100% agree, there's a lot of predatory women in this series... Voldy's mom also went the love potion subjugation route, and while Rita Skeeter was ultimately just interested in exploiting Harry for dramatic articles, the scene with her in the closet with Harry felt really flirtatious and disturbing.
I realize that having the commons rooms jinxed so girls can't enter the boys room wouldn't fix what the adults in this story did, you'd still think accountability and boundaries would be taught to the girls the same way it's taught to the boys.

As a British Asian I was so sad with the Patel twins outfits! I actually redesigned their outfits for my GCSE textiles coursework back in the day.
The lenghas aren't that bad but I don't love them. I get that they didn't want to outshine Hermione and Fleur but still 😭
I mean Cho's dress was nice too, I think since Pavarti went with Harry, and he was a champion, that was more than a good enough reason to dress them up a bit more formal. But alas.
Still, Ginny had the worst dress imo.

One thing that never made sense to me is why, in the movies, they made Durmstrang and Beauxbatons single sex schools, when in the books, both were co-ed. It was just weird.

Also the actress who played Myrtle was actually like 33, fr. Also it was only in the book, but the golden trio, one of them Harry i think does think of accio-ing a scuba tank, but then thinks he wouldnt have enough time for one to make it to him and hed be able to learn how to use it in a space of an hour. Just FYI. I had the same thought tho when i first read the book. Im old so i read the books before the movies came out.

So I have been watching to much of her stuff lately so when I went to binge watch harry potter, I thought everything was wrong thinking hers was the original😂😂😂😂
I always felt that they should have introduced Cedric earlier in the series so his death was an even bigger blow.
Well, the books did introduce him in book 3, and made him look humble and nice. He tried to help Harry during the quidditch match, and wanted to redo the game after catching the snitch after Harry was incapacitated by the dementors.
So glad I finally have enough time to sit down and watch this. I’ve been looking forward to this for ages!
