Xero shoes Sunrise slip on honest review

Xero shoes sent me this pair of size 13 Sunrise slip ons for an honest review.
Immediately out of the box I was finally excited to see something different from Xero Shoes that I was going to enjoy around the house and while out camping.
This shoe is an easy on and off lightweight microfiber water resistant flexible shoe.
The easy on and off is part of the excitement about this shoe. I love that I can get out of bed and instantly with no effort, slide into a cozy house shoe.
The ease of the back flap or heel of the shoe folds down when I push my foot in, and the microfiber under my heel is nice and soft where it doesn’t feel weird or anything.
When I decide that I want my foot completely enclosed then it’s pretty simple to just fold the flap out from under my heel and the fit of the heel is designed nicely to not rub against my foot.
The microfiber is nice and smooth. Very comfy to touch and keeping the temperature conditions just right for lounging around the house with no socks on.
The sole on the bottom of the shoe doesn’t even feel like it’s there with being padded with a nice insole and the bottom being soft and flexible. The tread is durable enough for outside and that is where I plan to take these shoes for my go to while camping and lounging around the campsite. I think the grip is fine for wet surfaces and with these shoes being water resistant, they are perfect for the damp morning grass or walking next to the water.
With the shoe only weighing 7 oz per size 13 shoe then there isn’t a reason not to pack these for all my adventures. Definitely easy enough to roll up and pack out.
But, I could also see this as a good casual shoe for about any event.
Like all Xero shoes these are minimalistic, letting you feel more of the contours that you are walking on to help connect with your surroundings but protecting from the sharp unexpectancies that life throws at you.
These shoes fit true to size and give the toes plenty of room to splay and play.
All in all, these shoes quickly have been added to my daily life and travel plans. Nice job Xero!
