I've bought two of the original D-109 radios long before XHDATA introduced the more expensive D-109WB. I've read that the WB model's front end is better as the non-WB model lacks the DX/Local attenuation circuit for the external antenna. I have no interest in the SOS alarm since I don't go camping outdoors and the Weather Band service works only in North America, therefore the D-109WB isn't my cup of tea. 🙂 Now, if XHDATA introduced a new D-109 with VHF Air Band like the D-808 and SSB demodulation, I'd definitely buy one! 📻👍
