That is why, when I play a Dolby Vision video on my Dolby Vision enabled TV I just get a HDR message popping out on the top right corner of my TV screen.
What do you mean? If an image doesn't look good in a certain resolution is because it needs more focus and less noise as you look into more detail, adding more resolution will not solve the problem, getting better illumination, sharper lenses, better autofocus, better denoising technology and so on, is what will help, otherwise you would have more pixels but no more details, ending with a 32k image that look equally as bad at 8k.

I'm just browsing random videos on mine to check it out. Got the 14 inch and honestly it feels so much bigger than my 13 inch air did. This screen is ridiculous.
Also, make sure to change your display presets to HDR video. I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure it locks control of brightness and takes full advantage of HDR in that mode. Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but I do feel that I noticed a difference - especially with lighting changes.
I work in an electronics store and every time I have to demonstrate what 4k hdr can do I always have your channel ready to display some fantastic images and people are always incredibly impressed. Love your work! I sometimes just put on some of your videos to display on my LG Oled and every time my jaw still drops.

I only bought a high refresh rate HDR monitor recently and until then I never experienced HDR I learned things about graphics card support, getting desired refresh rates, color profiles and color space and their HDR metadata. I work 18hours a day and watching relaxation videos like this(yes for me its relaxation), releaves me from work stress. Games is a luxury I can afford for 1-2hours at most at night with my friends. so during work breaks watching videos like these with peak brightness and HDR, totally satisfaction for me. I hope you understand now. Oh and they did make a display with huge color range for the sake of displaying colors and peak brigtness. I just cant afford it right now. Watch Linus Tech Tips regularly and you will know.

I don't usually comment on videos like this but this one deserves it, what a really good hdr video, this looked very good on my tv, the chameleon in particular looked stunning, very deep blacks, very very bright vibrant colours which really made it stand out. Keep up the great work 👍
@@AryanSingh2512. That is true, however they do support HDR, HDR10+ etc. Dolby Vision is only an iteration of HDR created to improve HDR signal which may or may not improve picture quality. In all honesty, very difficult to spot the difference between DV and HDR.

I remember making the jump from 720p to 1080p and feeling the same sense of awe that I felt when making the leap from 1080p to 4k a few years ago. "Wow! The image is so crisp and sharp!" Now I look at 1080p images and think, "Man, this shit is blurry as hell!" I've been so spoiled by 4k haha

Not really, iPhones goes to 1000 nits compared to 500 nits and that is much more impact rather than a slighly slightly higher resolution and it supports Dolby vision
@@zahidl5061 Sorry but no it's not, the S21 ultra hits a peak of 1500 nits while the IPhone 13 still only hits a peak of 1200. With that being said brightness doesn't mean it's better, the pure quality of this OLED display is insane but I'm sure this video looks amazing on any newer phone regardless.

Those of you watching on one of the new macbooks with the MiniLED screens, update to Monterey 12.1 if you havent already! If you thought it looked good before, that was without HDR, as it was disabled due to causing Kernel panics, and has been fixed. Watching this on the 14in MiniLED screen with HDR on is just jaw dropping, theres next to NO blooming so if I were doing a side by side with an LCD knowing nothing about the two screens I would seriously guess this is an OLED....!
doesnt matter what monitor or tv u use, this is gonna look good no matter if is a 4k or not, so is not much about the display you used but about how this video was recorded, all the video editing behind and of course all the colour correction .
using the DCI P3 color profile by Apple Inc. actually makes a surprisingly profound difference in the color and gradient quality even on an 8-bit color monitor.

Watched it on zenbook 13 oled and it's stunning. Even if it's only a 1080p screen it is a 13", the resolution is awesome.
