I have an 04. PC jetting is perfect! With a PC suspension, they recommend 5mm fork height( stock 15mm). The bike handles amazingly with this change. I also went up one tooth on the rear sprocket to tighten the gear ratio. Parts are easily accessible. Acerbis has full plastic kits and chain slider/guides available.
I remember when I turned pro in the 125 class and you had to keep them pinned the whole time or they would fall on there face. Nothing like todays 4 strokes you can lug around and the huge torque will pull you through.
Freestylebattlefield 1 yeah it's crazy how far superior bikes got. Midway through the 81 season I raced the 125 and 250 class at local races and I won both Moto's on the 250 the first time I raced it. Everyone said I was riding it like my 125 keeping pegged the whole time. That's obviously an exaggeration but I did ride it pretty hard that first time. 1983 I got a pro support ride with Honda and those were the best bikes I ever had.
DAMN you guys paid 3 grand for that! I got a 05 with 10 hours total for 1500... must be nice to have money to blow like that lol man I'll catch up soon enough guys!
Christopher Villarreal some of the bikes they build are $400 buys; they payed 3k and dint even really touch it, graphics and some little stuff here and there and it’s set; $1500 you prolly put 500-1000 into it to make it how you want it so it’s pretty good price. Good buy on the 05 for 1500 👌
yep thanks I found a few that I'm building 05 cr125 4 hrs basically new 05 kx125 03 cr250r all 3 bought for 1500 and they all run and are mechanically sound so super stoked about getting started on these projects!
I want a 92 kx125, probably have to buy a frame and do a ground up build. Vintage mx racing is how gen-x deals with midlife crisis, why can't we get re-release of these? MW2 is coming....some companies recognize potentially profitable to retro, now back to watching Roseanne, chill on that Netflix.
kysavage they got rid of all of their 2 stroke jetting specs. I think that's a mistake considering 2 strokes are such a big part of what built that business.
Thought the whole point to these films was to bring back old bikes from the dead so the average man can relate, not to find near immaculate survivors that would look fine if rolled out as they are! Less chat chat and more pictures / videos showing the process would be good too, may be a race with a gopro hemet cam at the end! All that work for an 8 min video, why not stand out over the other similar mag videos on youtube?
It looks really good.. I just wish they made upgraded side number plates without doing all the subframe bullshit. The shrouds and stuff still look okay. The number plates are the only thing that make it look horribly dated.
Chad Kennedy you can always trim them up with a dremel. If you take lits of time and do it right it looks great but buying graphics for them is a pain.
Wtf runnin fmf but went to procircuit for jetting. Hmn maybe run a p.c. pipe to use there data. Why dont fmf have data hmn cause procircuit better? Yea i think so
All these 125 build videos have made it impossible to buy a 125 in Washington lol keep it up tho love these RacerX build reviews!!

How much was the suspension upgrades?
Probably the most crisp sounding 125 I’ve ever heard 🥺😍

Rusty Taflinger can’t find your name in the vault. When were you pro?
Justin F Turned pro 1981.

But the 250 smoker will still smoke a 250 thumper
Sounds perfect I think that's the most dialed in I have heard ! Also that smile on pings face after the ride Just golden
Yeah man thanks I have been waiting for the is 125, it looks very similar to my own 03 kx 125👍
Man I love 2 strokes. Sounds like my done up yz125.

I had two of these. Such fun bikes. And good choice on the suspension!
Dude I want that bike so bad. Had a 01 yz125 and always wanted a kx

Christopher Villarreal I got an 05 kx125 bone stock for $700 with 5 hrs on a new top end
My sons is a 03, I wish I could up load a before and after pictures. It was a fun project
Modern front end on the kx is always a pet peeve.. Nice Build tho.
David is so awesome
Kawasaki is sick I have a kx125 to
Love BB kx
My ears..... man I love 2-strokes
Cool.
What do you do with these bikes after making the video? Sell them?
Keith Tarrier was wondering the same thing
They ride them
I think they usually have friends of racerx who are wanting to buy them straight away.
I see them on Craigslist a lot. The green
Goblin that dirt bike magazine built was on Craigslist for a while.
david hilton I'm buying it this Saturday lol
IMS makes pegs for them got them on my 03 250 :)
How does the performance compare to a brand new 125

GOD DAMNNNNNN
nice ride... bought mine new for $3500 in 2003 , still worth 3k lol
Is 32:1 an all good ratio for my kx125? Also can u use any 2t oil or does it have to be a specific oil? Thanks
What bike are the pegs originally for ping?
FMF also has jetting specs on their site. Not as many as they used to though.
kysavage they got rid of all of their 2 stroke jetting specs. I think that's a mistake considering 2 strokes are such a big part of what built that business.
mestandard I saw that after I posted. Definitely a mistake.
Hey whats the jetting ?? at what mix youre running it ?
sooooo chrispy, suspension looks dialed also
What year is the front fender and the number plate?
i weight 150lbs and i’m about 5’10 would this be a good bike for me? i’ve riding a bike before i probably only have about 5-7 hours though
is the cycra front fender and number plate for a 17 kx250f?
Did you cerakote the engine covers as well? Looking to do something like that to my bike. Thanks for sharing!
lol on the foot pegs, not a lot of confidence there XD
That was fucking funny dude
We'll see how that goes lol
Dang, woulda coulda, a Jon Primo plastic update kit would have put the cherry on top.
I have a 91 kx125 I’ve been working on and it’s very difficult to find some parts and I would be interested in getting that plastic for it
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UFO-Kawasaki-Motocross-EVO-KX-125-1990-1991-Plastic-Kit-KX-Green/302532290146?epid=14009793513&hash=item4670546662:g:jsoAAOSwI59aDrHW
I have an 05 kx125 next time you go to milestone let me know I will bring it , I can definitely use the help building it better
Anyone know what year the cycra front fender and front number plate is and if it's a direct fit to an 06?
I thought the old spit fire 🔥 bikes were bad ass and Tuf racing
,how much does it cost to rebuild these bikes

Rod Duster dam right bro
I’m building a 2005 Kx125 right now. You want to feature it?
I would get a late model CR125 just because almost all the parts for them are still being made and in stock
Do a build on a 97-99 cr 250 and 125 and do a yz 400 the bike that started four strokes in motocross!
101 is my number
Would of been nice to see a Kawasaki logo on the bike ( ( seat )
They made KX til 07... 3k was too much! They need to do a full PC works build of this and have Bubba come spin some laps 😊
Nice 👍🏻wish I had money 💵 to blow like that

I'm sure you guys know shorty silencers kill top end and over-rev. Oh well
Ping pong pong ping braaapp
Spent all the time and money on the legs just to scrap them? Why not just get an extended shifter?
Paid 600 for mine and got it running the same day
I got my 03 for 1500 w a fresh motor an extra parts
Should of just had some TI pegs machined custom
I have a mint 04 yz250 if you guys feel like building it for me lol.
What do you guys do with all of the bikes that you build?
Jason Procai exactly what I was thinking. I believe Jay Clarke builds them so I would assume he sells them as well.
I want to know where we can get these bikes......long live the 2 stroke!!!
$3K to buy it holy shit!
I'm restoring a 2006 rm250
Just brought my self a 2004 kx125 for £1300
I own a kx125 2005 mint try to find one. Bet you can't.
$3000??!!!!
look how much stud/bolt that hangs down under bar mount. poor attention to detail.
