Bikes I owned back in the late 60's through the 70's I wish I'd hung on to. Kawasaki Mach 3 500, Hodaka 100B, Bultaco 250 Alpina and a Yamaha IT 175. I could kick myself in the ass every time I think about it.
Penton also had a collaboration with Maico for a short time. and during that time they made a really good Enduro motorcycle. I had a 1969 Husqvarna 360 desert cross bike. it had the giant yellow fuel tank and the Bing carburetor with the tickler. it had gobs torque, I rarely ever had to work on that bike. it was an AWESOME motorcycle I had that bike for a long time and rode the hell out of it. the bike's that were produced before the long travel suspension revolution. the riders were tough as hell. riding those bikes though a whole motocross race. they would beat the hell out of the riders.
Thanks for helping preserve dirt bike history brother, I’d have 100’s if could, I’ve had a bunch over the years and miss every one of them. Still name them off like children lol
Beautiful collection! I love the Greeves and Matador. I have the same feeling for my 1973 Suzuki TS400k Apache, all original 11k miles. I'm rebuilding the motor head to toe but leaving the rest alone. I respect your love for original condition. I once bought a 71 Bridgestone 200ss clean title. Sold it to a buddy that is restoring one. Full restorations get stressful.
@@deborahchesser7375 I'll always have a vintage Suzuki, I love them! A 1980 PE175T was my first bike. I sold it for the TS400. I really want a Titan twin 500. Two stroke street bikes are awesome
That is quite an awesome collection you have each one is special in its own way if you could only have one any one of them would be great to have. also thank you for mention San Jose California my home town. There was a song called do you know the way to San Jose!
stephenmr2 oh yeah I know the song! Lol my wife grew up in San Jose and a lot of her family still lives there, we’re not too far away just over in Santa Cruz Mountains. 🏁🤙
Hell yeah man, ive been riding my 73 f11 is a way cooler bike than my 89 xt250 or my old 01 yz125. Bike does 70 miles an hour which in 73 77 was the top speed. Cool bikes man
Love this s-t , I grew up following RogerDecoster, Bob Hannah, although I’ve always ridden Honda s , my last couple bikes I’ve picked up have sat over 25 years untouched > survivors the 73 Xl 250motosport rides like new , working on the 87 XR600 that sat outside since 1982 with 450 miles just got it plated. I love all your bikes Maico and Husky so cool. I had a old 71bultaco that was set up for trials and that two stroke sound is unforgettable
greg martin old bikes rule!! Glad ya liked the video🏁🤙 by the way if you like Roger DeCoster we’re doing a restoration on a 1978 RM 370 that I think you’ll dig, I haven’t made any videos about it recently but I will soon.
Hi, how much would a 1974 PUCH vintage Australian dirt racing bike be worth today I have one hasn’t been ridden in a long time when parked, it would run and bogged down and then die pretty sure don’t know much about them, but I think we had to do something in the carburetor. It would run lose power and die. Had to restart it again. I didn’t a kickstart on it so we had to push it but it’s in excellent shape the original tank original seat original back fender not sure if I have the front fender or not. It’s all original bike. I would like to know how much it’s worth today. Please let me know thank you.. 👍😎
When it comes to value, there’s a lot of factors but condition is the main one. A non-running “parts bike” could be a couple hundred dollars and a nice rideable bike could be a couple thousand.
That was added, probably by a local machine shop, it was not a stock option, many desert racers had this mod, and when a spark plug fouled, they would just switch the spark plug cap to the spare plug, sometimes the fouled plug would be cleaned enough from the gas being run through the cylinder to actually run again.
That's a Harley Davidson Aermacchi ,Harley used an Italian company to build a few dirtbikes, even the original founding members of the unit aka Delta Force had a couple of 125s ,fast Eddie a guy highly proficient in explosives was the best rider 👍🙏🇺🇸
My husband grew up on a farm riding a Penton 125 with the sax motor the powerband on those Motors were outrageous, he in a wheelchair now and really misses just having the bike the sound of the bike was beautiful he tells me he also owned a hidaka that's a motorcycle also you should own let me know what you think
I would have to have them running and ready to ride. But there great I have a collection of restored but in perfect original condition but I’m coming around to your way of thinking. I like original condition so long as they are mechanically perfect. You’d hate my bikes There shiny.
I have a ton of shiny bikes as well... but motorcycles are also an investment for me and the original stuff is becoming more valuable. I just got a second Greeves that’s only 6 vin Numbers away from the orange one and it’s in better mechanical condition.
@@MasonGeorgeMotorcycles I never doubted you’d have some mint bikes tucked away too. I sold some none running bike to a collector about 5 years ago. He never touched them. They’ve doubled in price. So I know exactly wear your coming from. Love you old bikes We must be mad

I'm a engineer by training. I wouldn't waste my time on a bike as poorly designed and executed as a Harley Davidson. Hodaka? Yes. Montesa? Yes. Sachs? Yes. Aprilia? Yes. Greeves? Yes. HD? No.
Poorly designed? The Harley Baja 100 and the MX250 were both two stroke dirt bikes made by Aermacchi for Harley Davidson. The MX250 was a proven winner but was too expensive for it's time and the Baja 100 actually WON the Baja 1000 in 1971. Hell, a Sportster took 4th place in the same race in 1986, If you've ever owned a Hodaka, and you brag about their engineering, then you ain't no engineer.

Had a 69 or 70 huaky 450 desert master with the yellow+chrome gas tank. Always ran+ran STRONG! Never broke down. Gobs of torque!
The 76 Husqvarna had white fenders
Wow, that is a huge gas tank on that Maico. Nice collection.
