@@acrispim1547 That was the right play. He had 75% to win the Brawl because if one of those 4/3s had survived, it would have been instantly killed by the HP for two more mana. If he HP'd before, he'd only had ≈60% to win the Brawl, without any answer in case one of Kibler's dude survived. The man was slightly unlucky and couldn't pull up with the tempo of the game, handicapping himself from the beginning with those two SS.
See if you want to understand how you defeat Dr. Boom decks, there's just one thing to understand: You don't win with Dr. Boom if he's somewhere at the bottom of the deck.
My man, kibbie, if only so many youtubers knew how to edit a video like you to just include action and no bs waiting I feel like watching other streamers yt vids would be more engaging. Keep up the good work my dude.
The great thing about the quest in this matchup is that its guarenteed to start in your hand. While you have to rely on draw RNG for Dr Boom. It took the opponent so many turns of dealing with free 4/3s before he finally found his Boom and had the breathing room to play it. Quest Warrior definitely has potential and I love it.
In case one of the 4/3 won (50% of the time), then he would have been able to remove it with the micro squad. Also means even if he loses the brawl, he can place 3 mechs that generally have to be dealt because of the threat of magnetics.
@@leptinainccm Agreed. He figured 25% was odds he was willing to take. If he squads first, then any of Kibler's 3 (out of 7) minions winning the Brawl is problematic. So do you go with the 75% chance of clearing your opponent's minions or the 57% chance? If your only goal is to clear Armegadillo, then squad first is better, but if you are trying to leave your opponent without a challenged minion, he played it correctly.
The play should have been 1-hero power, 2-brawl, 3-1/1 elemental with rush, which still let's him clear the 4/3 with his weapon, but betters his brawl odds by 25%
Technically, upgrading your weapon does accelerate the quest. You can successfully hit bigger guys and it has additional charges. Further, he obviously had a weapon going all the way until the end. You can't say hard and fast rules like that. Even when that is the usual or ideal case, your opponent is playing, too, and compromises have to be made. Even combo decks sometimes have to give up combo pieces to have a chance to win.
@@MaximumOvercricket I think he's mainly referring to the start of the game. Kibler could have gotten more 4/3s total that game if he used his Upgrade on turn 2 instead of saving it for Sulthraze (due to 3 turn-ish faster quest completion). Now, that would mean overall different plays with his mana on some pre-10 turns, different trading/overkill capabilities on the 2nd Sulthraze, etc., so it's hard to say, but I'm inclined to agree with Koozje at least about early upgrade using/saving.

Maybe? Then he armored goons and starts getting armor out of sul’thraze.. But i thought that was a neat interaction with some cards that dont see much play.. hehe! Cheers!

As you can see from this video, you don't necessarily need it for pressure, and you can put better survivability, removal, tech or whatever you want instead of using the ~5-9 card slots on a bomb package.
This game is from before the nerf. It is significantly worse now that itself and armo are no longer favored so heavily. It's playrate has dropped from 2/deck down to 1 or even cut completely in most cases. The neutral taunt pool is full of garbage (basically every cheap taunt)
If hack the system created 4/4s or 4/5s it might be worth it. But for now at least it just seems like alot of give for a little get. Glad he took down a fully decked out control war cause I sure can't lol.
