Exotic Mount Dempo in Pagar Alam City

Mount Dempo is located on the border of South Sumatra province and Bengkulu province, precisely in Pagaralam City, South Sumatra province. Mount Dempo can be reached in around 7 hours using a private four-wheeled vehicle from the city of Palembang
The city of Pagar Alam itself is a municipality that was formed in 2001 with an area of ​​633 km2 or almost the same as the area of ​​DKI Jakarta. And in 2021, the population of this city will be 147,071 people.
As the name suggests, Pagar Alam City is surrounded or fenced by the natural landscape of the Bukit Barisan mountains and Mount Dempo is its highest peak. On normal days on Mount Dempo you can find many people who deliberately climb to the top to look for wood or just go hiking. There are tourists who deliberately visit the climbing gate just to tour the mountain slopes where there are tea gardens.
The Pagaralam Tea Garden is located on the slopes and foot of Mount Dempo at an altitude of around 1520 meters above sea level. This tea garden is managed by PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII.
