Thanks Todd, I don't have anybody over here in the UK I know who has any system 80Bs or knows how to fix them so thank you for taking your time to reply. Kind regards Barry...
I have a video pinball table it’s very cheap in comparison to even some of the better video pins out there but I have the bone busters game on it’s pretty good. It actually looks very similar to this as this particular table spilts opinions.
I have a bone busters pin and am having some lighting issues. Does anyone know why the backboard lights don't work on startup but if I let it sit long enough it starts the rapid flash. All the bulbs are good but it doesn't light up all the time like the playfield. Only if you let it sit idle long enough
Hi Todd great video it's always nice to see Gottlieb's appreciated and featured from that era on your channel . I've actually got a problem with my Gottlieb 80b machine at the moment. Everything turns on including the GI on start up but the score display (like the one on Bonebusters) only shows rows of zeros and there's no power to either the start button or red booking keeping button at the coindoor end, have you got any ideas what the problem could be? Kind regards Barry...
First, take out power supply and reheat solder header pins, tighten screws on regulator, and squirt contact cleaner on 5 volt pot and work it in,...then set the 5 volts right on the logic board. If still no good, and the logic board has 5 volts, the next place to look is the satellite board which is probably ice cold...the issue is to really fix this right, it should be REMOVED from logic board so underside can be reflowed...and then carefully reinstalled...that is what gets tricky--you do not want to damage the traces of the board.
Great thanks. Going to try some of those LED in the one I'm fixing up. I love the paint job! I can't paint as good as Steven, does anybody sell stencils for the Bone Buster?
I would love to see you do a show on restoring a Circus Voltaire. I have seen the bottom of the board when I saw a tape from another who was putting in better speakers and it looks like the ring master assembly might be rough to have to repair.
Lyle Johnson We bought ten of these when it was closed out, for $2199 each (the game was a huge dud!) I sold the last one in the crate for $3599. I got half of them back from those private home sales and resold, but none of them had any issues with the ringmaster with so few miles. We did get in a few vended Cirqus machines which we had to take the Ringmasters apart and clean them up. Nothing too bad! Haven't had one in our shop in probably over 4 years now. Our videos covering our sales started perhaps 2 1/2 years ago.I guess sooner or later we will get one in!!
I can see why it was a dud. I found a two part video of someone playing Circus Voltaire and in the first part sideshow sam came up and seem to last forever. The sounds it made was so annoying.
Hi Todd can you give us a demo on how you actually reheat the boards? You always mention that but I think there are lots of people out there who have no idea what you really mean.
PinDweeb Frank did one on a Black Knight 2000 video last August (check it out)...but I think we will make a video that ONLY shows this being done....that way, more will see it.
Should light the eyes in the skull too. Still looks epic though. So is the cabinet usually the pink the inside was? Eeesh, no wonder the customer wanted it changed.
would it be possible to actually make the skull talk? I mean like move it jaw to simulate the act of it speaking whenever the skulls voice activates? would that be too much? amazing looking table guys.
+MarkEdwardRom Interesting idea ---they DID match the teeth up to the words in the Gottlieb game Class of 1812...which you will see in next couple months!
Hi all you pinball lovers. I'm working on my 1st restore, which is a Bone Busters. Thought I had the bugs figured out... game starts normal but at some point during play it will release 2 balls instead of one. The switch on the out lane works, the ball is sitting on it, but it still kicks a 2nd ball. I changed the dip switch's to 3 and 5 ball play, tried it in single and multi player, still does it. It's erratic, doesn't do it every time or ever game. Any ideas?
Andre Butcher the return grounds on the bottom transformer are all white wires and plug into little boards on the side of the transformer. Take boards off and reflow solder on all the header pins on those boards and also burnish the pins too....those return grounds can cause all sorts of odd issues
thought the skull had the best colors on it. like something from POTC underwater. which is generally where then end up. they seem to be able to walk underwater better than those who can't breath underwater. :P This one reminds me of Monkey's Island and the skull that keeps talking to the hero? Guy Threepwood? eh gosh haven't played that in forever and oh the bad guy is French. hmmmm Le Chuck?
No, not really.. When U where laughing. It sounded so sadistically. It reminded me of these 2 characters.. Not too say U sound like them, but the 2 laugh's I posted R notorious, and that's what popped in my head when U did it.. Nothing bad on Ur part..
Best Gottlieb game I've seen.
You guys make so many great looking games, but I must say, you guys really outdid yourselves on this one! Wow! Excellent work!
David Slaymaker Thanks David! This one is just gorgeous!
Amazing work!
Awesome work as on the pinball table as normal from TNT.
Chester Copperpot Thanks Chester!!!
That's a nice machine. Nice touch with the lights with the skull on top.
Riz2336 Thanks!!!
what a great looking machine. excellent work TNT again!
I own two Bone Busters, one still has the Skull on top! Everyone who comes over to the house loves it!
I think out of all of them Curt is the one who makes me laugh the most... Todd and Curt for the win!
thats my curtie!
Constantine Mitchell is one of my favorite pinball artists, games like Gorgar, Freddy a nightmare on Elm street, lights, camera, action and this game!
+Bo88y Beretta Neat! I proposed marriage with a Lights Camera Action too! Have to post that video one day!
Bloody hell, that looks sharp. And that skull topper could wipe the floor with Skull the Bonehead from No Fear ANY DAY.
Ascyltos The way its lit now...and the red insides are really neat!
Very interesting.
Thanks Todd, I don't have anybody over here in the UK I know who has any system 80Bs or knows how to fix them so thank you for taking your time to reply. Kind regards Barry...
Hope it helps!
That game would look amazing with Super bright LEDs
We have another sold...so when we do it (its on Laway) we will do super brights
Nice dissolve! Hard to believe Gottlieb would take the time to put on such a nice topper and then not light it.
Nightenstaff I agree...they did light the gopher on Teed Off though (it uses the same base and front clear covering).
Played this last night in The Pinball Arcade and it's a tough table kind of like Gladiators!
And its really fun to play too!
You would be right buddy.
that's an awesome pin would love to have one
dvddmc It really looks terrific!

Neat pin!
***** t's getting more attention these days!

what is that film you used on the sides? not your normal mirror sides?

Have you ever restored a Cicus Volraire?
Lyle Johnson Sold 10 brand new and reconditioned perhaps 4...none recently....
My favorite! Nothing beats the Ring Master!
Didn't Gottlieb's later Stargate have a skill shot ball lock almost exactly like that?
Ascyltos Yes...its nearly identical! It was a really neat lock feature!
Great thanks. Going to try some of those LED in the one I'm fixing up. I love the paint job! I can't paint as good as Steven, does anybody sell stencils for the Bone Buster?
Andre Butcher Thanks! I do not think so yet...sooner or later they will though!
Wow, nice match cut, Todd. Stanley Kubrick hadn't done it better.
kenny9648 See??? My college course on filmmaking helped!! :-)

Paul M The eye is solid....and we spent hours already on this puppy...NEXT time, Paul!!! :-)
would be nice to see a tutorial video on the maintenance and how its done
at some point, we may do this....just no time....
This pinball machine is coming to Pinball Arcade PC XBOX & PlayStation
Thats good news!

cool thanxs
+MarkEdwardRom Yeah, I guess you could just include an actuator.
Where can I get some of those "Bendies"?
Andre Butcher From Pinball Life!
What are bendie lights that are on the skull!??!?!?
they are led lights that are on a wire so they can bend and be pointed at what you want to light.
@@tntamusements Do you sell them!?
ive been looking for a pinball machine with a cop theme, not Police For. The game used to say, "car 4 respond", anyone know the name?

magic
when you close the cabinet one ball drops from the playfield its loose now
pcuser80 We always fish them out...when we pack it up!
Apparently you have a famous kid in your state :P he'll end up saying Apparently Good night :P
"O God". 3:25
He is looking at the camera.
Yes...that WAS pretty creepy!
I`d freak out if I saw that topper on by itself in the middle of the night.
SuperKissFan1 My wife freaks out when she sees ME in the middle of the night!
I wonder why French players hated this game. TV Tropes mentioned that but no explanation was given why.

1rst time I see someone cheating on a Pinball ! Nice video.
Ur laughing reminded me of these 2 Character's ua-cam.com/video/UZl-kQ3JFNI/v-deo.htmlm36s , ua-cam.com/video/lb8fWUUXeKM/v-deo.html
William Schaeffer Fun stuff!! But do I REALLY remind you of them???
