In fact in Germany we celebrate Saint Nicholas (in german Sankt Nikolaus) on the 6th of December. He was a Saint who threw bags with coins into poor people's windows. On the 6th of December Nikolaus is bringing Candies, Nuts, tangerines etc. to the good children and his helper Knecht Ruprecht (Santas little helper, literally translated to Servant Ruprecht) gives coals to the bad children. The coal part varies in different parts of Germany, in some he even used to beat children with a stick and in Austria for example they call him Krampus and he looks more like a demon or monster. Keep in mind that usually it was tradition that in a village somebody would dress up and 2 men would play the roles of Nicholas and Ruprecht. These days in some families the father dresses up as Nicholas takes a big brown gunnysack with candies, nuts etc. and gives the candies to the children. Also interesting is, that originally Saint Nicholas was depicted with blue robes in Europe, leading back to him being a bishop (bishop robes were blue/purple). He lived in what would be today a part of turkey in I think the 4th or 5th century. In more modern times when he got transformed into Santa Claus in the US they changed his robes to brown and for some reason made him the main guy on Christmas, which is quite weird for Western Europeans, because in most parts of Europe it is about Jesus. Later Coca Cola successfully made his clothing red in a huge marketing campaign and kind of succeeded in making people associate Christmas with a fizzy unhealthy drink. And even in Germany when people buy costumes of Saint Nicholas they are now mostly available in red. And I actually have no clue where the elve and toy part is coming from. Or the north pole location.
You guys rule. Everything you do is funny. I will never miss a video. But what I want to talk about is the fact that leap years don't happen at the end of centuries, except the ones divisible by 400. This fact is insignificant in most of our lifetimes as 2000 was still a leap year. But 1900, 2100, 2200, etc. will all not be leap years, despite being every 4 years.
OPPERTUNITY! I'M TAKING THE ELVES UP NORTH!

Just make sure that Claire isn't Mrs. Claus or else the whole thing might end up in disaster.

You KNOW you have a billion-dollar idea when everyone you tell about it thinks you're absolutely insane!
