I had an old gentleman show me a tip when using paper filters...put your filter in your container and before adding the coffee, rinse it out with water. The change in taste profile is amazing. Thanks for all of your effort you put forth with these videos, it's greatly appreciated.
I have seen versions of this tip before too. The way I remember it is that you should rinse your paper filter out at the sink before putting it in place, that way any paper residue or unwanted flavors in the paper are removed before coffee is brewed through it. Thanks for the value add!
A friend had a top-of-the-line Keurig brewer (at the time) and the weak coffee it made left me craving for more. I didn't like the OXO plastic set so I went to a thrift store and picked up an old ceramic Melitta Pour Over Coffee Cone Brewer for $1. couldn't be happier.
I have the same Keurig as the one you featured in this video and I absolutely love it. I also have a few of the reusable K-cups and I prefer those over the store bought kcups, for the flexibility in volume of ground coffee and I find it to be way more cost effective. I am not super bougee with my coffee and don’t understand really all the intricacies of brewing the world’s best cup of coffee, however I just bought a cuisinart coffee grinder and am excited to step up my coffee game a little bit. I wasn’t sure if the regular drip coffee makers were any superior than my Keurig and your video was featuring my exact model 😁. I think I’ll stick to my beloved Keurig and see what my next cup of (fresh ground) coffee will taste like. Thanks for the video!
I thought about buying a keurig since the mini maker was only $80 on sale at the store and looked nice. I ended up getting the $30 mini mr coffee maker instead though. I usually drink 2 cups in the morning before work, and the keurig seems to be more of a hassle than just the normal makers. Way overpriced as well in my opinion. Im coming off a $10 amazon maker I got for my birthday 3 years ago and it finally started leaking to the point where I couldn’t position the pot right and it just leaked everywhere, so I retired the trusty $10 after 3 years !
