You know what...I have always said that bluegrass musicians are absolute geniuses in what they do and with their level of talent that they show. This is the proof of that statement right here!
The Cleverlys rendition of "Born To Be With You" was awesome. Those musicians were on the same page, and that stand up bass player, played like there was no tomorrow!
"Born to Be with You" is a song written by Don Robertson. It was published in 1956. The biggest hit version (#5 on the pop charts) was by The Chordettes in 1956.
The name Cleverly originates from around Lancashire in the UK, and this kind of humor is still alive and kicking over there. The people were naturally just funny people.

Now that fat fella with the fiddle.. has he got his crunched up hat taped to the side of his head like that or what? Anyhow, these guys are always good. Though the funniest thing ever was when they did a cover of that Korean fella Psi and his big hit where he pretends to be riding a horse. Very funny.
Wow, not only to turn a crap song into awesome…the frontman wasn’t making up crap, well I’m pretty sure. I spent an hour comparing, I’ve never heard the original before ….its horrendous. The confidence to rock up live on stage a proper performance, and do that, is amazing. If it was a recording session, and the vocals were done separately like they are, and he could read the lyrics of a sheet….i don’t think I could be more amazed, I don’t understand how this is possible…

My grandmothers maiden name was Cleverly.
I wonder if I am another estranged relative.
exactly like JD Crowe and the Kentucky Mountain Boys; JD, Bobby Sloan, Doyle Lawson and Larry Rice.
The idea of Nancy Pelosi and Don Knots having a child......just curls the mind, don't it!?
LOL, But Don hand more common sense than to have sex with Nancy! He would have rejected her hands down!
I wish the cleverly's stayed like this. But I guess all things got to come to an end and move on to survive
The lead guy talking could pass for Woody Harrelson all day.
😂😂😂😂😂👍
Adam..my old neighbor

When your hot your hot
I know its chiefly comedy, but them boys shore can rinder.
Any band that can get away with covering both PSY and The Chordettes is okay in my book.
Just play the music and let it speak for itself. Your idiotic personas don't add a thing to it.
Good bluegrass drive. 👍👍
