Dr Tedros receives honorary degree from the University of Glasgow

On 5 March, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organisation Director-General, received an honorary degree in a ceremony at the Bute Hall at the University of Glasgow. Dr Tedros took part in a Q&A with Gordon Brown following the ceremony.

As an Ethiopian studying at the University of Glasgow, I'm very happy not only to see a fellow Ethiopian with an hononary award but its an inspiration that any person from the global south could turn out to be at the front of leading the world in health. It also shined a new perspective of the uni. I didn't know all these people were once a student like me.
