Went from having over 1200 subs in January to 300 in April. Need to keep them rolling out 😂 keep in touch buddy 👍

      Neusa C it’s a nitrogen Fertiliser and also go slurry spread few week bk. So should grow fast now. The weeds are a pain but they can be killed.....I hope 😊

    Just wondering how you find the controls on the amazone spreader, I was considering upgrading my old ZAM (2001) to a newer model with slightly more accurate spreading technology. Trouble is the thing has been so trouble free & reliable over the 11 years I’ve had it I’m nearly afraid to get rid of it🤷‍♂️🤔

    • @gerry6420
      @gerry6420  5 років тому

      Edward O Grady was same my self. Had our old za-m from 2004 until last year. Never missed a beat. I’m very happy with new machine. Their very easy to set up and use. Like all controls or computers. Once you get using it few times. U soon pick up what to do. I love anything amazone. You know what your getting when u buy.... reliability and built to last.

    Hi Gerry. Do you powerhose after each days use? Or how long would you leave it before cleaning? Do u oil just in Autumn when housing for winter?
    Do u ever touch up paint?

    • @valleyboy2099
      @valleyboy2099 5 років тому +1

      I can tell he neva cleansit because ov the two types ov fret in the spreader...plus if its rainy put tractor n spreader in side wile opening the cover so NO rain drops get in side the hoper

    • @Bambinohead1
      @Bambinohead1 5 років тому +2

      @@valleyboy2099 Thanks for that. The colour can change with different batches of fertiliser. But he could have still got both fert at same time.
      I'd say myself it most def does get cleaned, but just wondering how often

    • @gerry6420
      @gerry6420  5 років тому +3

      Bambinohead1 I wash it every time I use it unless I was going to was going to use it over the following day or so. If you don’t then they won’t last. I use hot washer. Our old spreader was actually better paint then this one. This one is 2012 and our old one was 2004. So I’m gona be doing some cosmic work on this one now over next few weeks. Greedy board need attention and Inside of it needs polishing too so the fertliser slides better on it. Few other bits as well. I’ll make a video of what I’m doing. Reason there was 2 types of feet in it was we had a ton of a different brand of CAN that I’d used the previous evening and was a little bit still in bottom of the spreader.

    What fertiliser were you putting on there Gerry? I know you probably want to keep things general taking in consideration the wider audience, but farmer in me likes to know this detail, if u don't mind sharing! Do you put on less nitrogen on the hay fields than say for silage, or any difference? Tks.

    • @gerry6420
      @gerry6420  5 років тому +2

      Bambinohead1 yes no probs.
      Put out 27% CAN w/ 6%sulphur
      Putting on 2 bags per acre on hay (240kg per ha). It had got 3000 gallons of slurry already.
      Works out less then on silage ground as it’s got longer to grow then silage and also if it is too heavy a crop, hay will rot in the bottom and it’s very hard to dry. Less feed Quality too when that happens.

    • @gerry6420

      Dj Mac bought 6930 in 2013, 6420s in 2004, 2850 in 1999, before it we had a 2130 and a David brown 990. That out tractor history. We come a long way the last few years in fairness.
