I love you both so much. You both are my mentors and answer all my questions. If all this COVID stuff wasn’t happening I would totally do a meet n greet lol. You guys rock.
Another comment. I built a tuff shed and made it into my shop. Best investment ever. Very informative and just nice to talk on a personal level with you both.
I am so glad you both is on here. I am getting ready start my candle business soon. I just have some stuff I am getting together now. I am so happy you both are here together.;)
This was very good and very selfless of you both to share so much. I did chuckle when he said he works in IT, so he works with printers a lot. I work in IT and haven't used a printer in maybe 3yrs lol
Thank you for the information I'm going to make some Halloween candles this year and never done it. With your stuck candle molds you can always drill holes in the top and use the wooden handle to help push them out. Just tape the holes prior to filling with wax.
Most people usually wait a week. The longer they sit, the better. I’d say no less than 2-3 days. Shouldn’t be a problem leaving them for a couple months
This was awesome! I can’t wait to finish watching it! I’m hoping to launch in January! I’m working on ordering a kit to practice and then I’m torn with having a logo or just a brand name on a label for now... also not sure about some other things lol the beginning is always hard huh! Thank you so much for this!!! Both of you are so inspiring and kind people 🥰
Quick question! So when you test the candles and let’s say it’s not good or the fragrance is not good, do you just double boil it and pour the wax in another jar and throw it away?
@@AwakenUrMind You could, but a couple of her videos she shows that she has alot of failed jars that she just now uses for wick testing or something else. But if you wanted to keep those jars, you could. More time consuming is all.
Ericka thanks for all that you do! I have learned SO much from you and I appreciate it as it has helped our family. I am two weeks in now and have done well with the people I have brought to Etsy, but Etsy is super slow to show my shop, how long did it take for you to get traffic from Etsy? And one more question for both of you, how do you schedule your time making candles? I have been making candles non-stop over the last two weeks and it has taken over my life, not sure I can keep up this pace? How do you put it " in it's place"? My company is St.Charbel Candle Co.
I’ve never worked with it before, but I have heard a lot of people are able to get smooth tops. If you’re not already I would join the FB group “diy candle making beginner to advanced” there’s SO many people who have experience with that wax! ❤️
My 2 favorites candlemakers reunited in a livestream - so sorry I missed it! I haven't had time to watch it all yet but I will! I have one question regarding wicks, I have made soy candles in 8 oz jars and used, as recommended by the store, Eco10 wicks... But I noticed it would form a mushroom head and would produce soot, especially towards the end. I was thinking going down to Eco8 but I notice Erica would use 2 wicks. Can I ask which ones are you using? what would you recommend for 1 wick and 2 wicks? Thank youuu
Hi! I would definitely try to wick down to an eco 8, and also try out other series of wicks as well. Using two wicks is only recommended if you jar diameter is larger than 3” ❤️
I’ve never worked with 464 before, but I had heard that’s just a natural process of that soy wax! However, I’ve heard that trying your best to slow down the cooling process can help with a lot of the “imperfections” ie sink holes, frosting, etc
Hi, it all depends on the kind of wax you are using. The wax you are using will tell you the FO % load that can be used (people typically choose between 8%-10% for most waxes) once you know that number then you will be able to calculate how much FO is needed. ❤️
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo I sent that about 39 secs into the recording because you were asking him if you and he would be split screened. Guess it was delayed on getting to you.
Glass adhesion issues are 100% due to pouring too hot! If your wax is smoking/steaming, you will likely have glass adhesion issues, although not so severe an issue. The candle will still smell and burn beautifully as long as you have mixed your oils skillfully and measured the ratio to wax, and chosen the correct wick.
I NEED more of these videos!! This is great content to run while I'm pumping out candles!!
This was a long time coming! Love both of y'all!
Thank you for watching! ☺️

You guys are awesome. Stan has so much knowledge. Good stuff!
He really does! Thank you so much for watching!
I wasn't able to catch this live, but so glad you posted it to rewatch! 💜
Was a good discussion but could not watch anymore due to the constant pauses/disconnects after about 20min.
Great job you 2, sorry I missed it live. Thanks for all the advice. Hope one of these days to be able to join you up there ;). Enjoy your weekend.
Thank you for all your information and tips what a good sent to mix with library from candle science I love it by itself but I need something with it
When your candles are made, how long is too long to have your candles made before selling. Will they lose scent after months of being stored?
Been wondering that myself !
great question! im interested to find that out as well.

I would have loved to see this. Too bad the audio was so faulty.
I know I hated that I had my technical issues :/ luckily my phone came through! 😅
Excellent Greetings from Puerto Rico🌸🕯
Do u warm your jars before pouring? Do you do anything special while cooling your candles

I live in Virginia and I know it's a lot opportunity for business in the DC Maryland Virginia(DMV) area.
Hi..how do you fix a candle once you realize you don't have a good cold scent throw
Can’t find the wooden wicks company

My company is St.Charbel Candle Co.
This may seem basic, but is it possible to get a smooth top with 464 after burning the candle? If not, what’s the secret..

How do you avoid frosting inside your jars? I use 464 soy wax.
Try 444 soy wax, i switched to that and dont have an issue with frosting as bad as i did when i used 464

How much Fragrance oil is needed for 3.5 lbs of wax?
I used 8 cups of wax. Please assist 😩🙏🏽

What’s the fb group?
Nevermind lol
Do you need insurance just selling wax melts?
It’s always a good idea to have insurance!
You’re split
Yeah that’s how we have to do it when there’s two of us on the stream 🙂
