- Day 7 on the Appalachian Trail. The final day finds me hiking from Sasafrass shelter to The Fontana Dam Visitor Center. It was a challenging day of hiking which ended up being 22.5 miles.
Cool video Carlson. That 72 mile section thru the Smokies is awesome. I think it’s Fontana to Standing Bear Hostel.
Yep. You are correct. Next year I will be hitting it.
This was a great trek!
Really enjoyed watching.✌️
Thank you. I had an absolute blast hiking this section. I was beautiful and super challenging.
Just subbed to you. So sorry. I thought I subbed to you a long time ago and just saw that I wasn’t.
@@CarlsonAdventures 😄Thanks! I thought you had too.
Great job, Brian! Those were some serious miles you put in. ✌️
Thanks Mark!
Congratulations on finishing another section!
Thanks Tonya!
Whoop whoop! So what was that... (3) 20+ mile days total? Awesome! Now the trick is not letting yourself slip. Looking forward to the next few videos, great idea!
Thanks Mark. Yep. 3 20+ mile days.
You have transformed yourself into an absolute beast brother! Impressive mileage especially for the AT.
Thanks brothers!
Nice one man, great accomplishment. I have enjoyed watching you do it more than me actually doing it.
Thanks man. Lol
Good job! I’m all ears for advice on the AT. I’m on the KT everyday. I did 7.5 section yesterday. See you soon at meet up.
Awesome! The KT is a tough one. See ya soon.
What’s water availability on the KT? How about ticks?
@@marywilliams3772 plenty of water and only one tick so far but I’m expecting an increase. I just try my best to not rub against any plants, even the tall dead brown ones. I put permethrin on clothing and shoes as well.
Congrats buddy! Fact: No matter how much you bathe on trail, that stank don't leave!
Amen. Took a few days to wash off the stank!
Been great cuz wish I was up to something like this
Thanks!
