Today is embarkation day for our Carnival Mardi Gras cruise!
We check out of our room at the Avanti Palms, drive to Port Canaveral, finally boarding the ship!
We have cocktails, burgers Guy's Burger Joint, and check out the Sail Away Party 🥳
There's also a room tour of our mid-ship extended balcony cabin 🤩

I am taking a 14 day transatlantic cruise on Mardi Gras. Loved to see you sail and glad you showed the hotel stay and travel to port!!!! FYI, Carnival allows you to use your boarding pass like your sail and sign card for first few hours on the cruise. You can get drinks at the bar with just your boarding pass! It will also show if you have the drinking package. Bottom ups!

As someone who's never done a cruise I've always been sceptical if it would be my kind of thing. But honestly, watching this and seeing you walk around it just reminded me of walking hotel to hotel on the Vegas strip, different themes one after another. This cruise looks amazing, can't wait to see everything else it has to offer. Hope you had the most amazing time.

@@WizardsAndWalt I went to Vegas for our honeymoon, spent 10 days exploring the strip, eating great food and drinking. Place is unreal. You'll love it
We had a great time on Mardi Gras and it was fun to be reminded by watching your video, glad you had an enjoyable first cruise. We're going even bigger for our next cruise on Icon of the Seas in November, followed immediately by Sun Princess.

I've been on that ship before and love it. There is too much to do and a ton of places that are really quiet where you can just chill out if you want

If you find yourself booking another Carnival cruise (on vista or XL class ships only) you should book a Havana Room! The private deck and bar for Havana rooms only is awesome especially for sea days. I personally think it’s better than the serenity deck. Something to consider.

Great video! For future reference your boarding pass works as your sign and sail card for cocktails until you get your cards. It's verified through you booking number.

Loved this guys! I go on and off about whether I’d like to do a cruise or not so it was good to get a ‘credible’ insight from you both.
To be honest I thought ‘everything’ on a cruise was included (other than gift shops and maybe spa treatments) so was really surprised to see that you would have been charged to drink the water left in your cabins 😱. Like, how do they justify that? 🤔 Also, I didn’t realise how many other dining options there were that were chargeable too. I feel like you could spend a LOT once you get on board or am I wrong? Would it get boring just going for all of the ‘free’ option? I’m confused 😕😉
It wouldn't be boring at all for the free option 😊 all the food we ate on this trip was included (other than the character breakfast we have later on) so you've loads of choice.
With drinks you get dispensed water and lemonade included, but if you wanted literally anything else (fizzy drinks, coffee, alcohol) you can just pay as you go 👍🏻 we just opted to pay for our drinks package in advance. It was a great time! Thanks for watching 😊😊

We had a great time, it was my first cruise and I can definitely see us doing another!
For teenagers there was the sports court, rollercoaster, table football, mini golf, a decent sized arcade, films on all night on the big screen, plus triva nights, fun shows to watch (including Family Feud, don't miss it!), and stand up comedy clubs. There's a kids club too for younger kids. So much to do - I'm sure you'll all have a great time! 🤩
