Nest TV #27: About Robert Rino

About Robert Rino van de Vlaamse kunstenaar Rinus Van de Velde is een Nest-vullende totaalinstallatie waarbinnen Van de Velde het verhaal vertelt van Robert Rino. De door Van de Velde geproduceerde werken van deze fictieve kunstenaar komen terug in de tekeningen die de muren van Nest van vloer tot plafond vullen, maar zijn ook opgenomen als objecten binnen de installatie. Met deze totaalinstallatie grijpt Van de Velde terug naar de monumentale muurtekeningen waarmee hij zijn faam verwierf. Tegelijkertijd is het een première, want naast de muurvullende tekeningen en de grote kartonnen sculpturen die Van de Velde het afgelopen jaar maakte, worden er nu ook een aantal keramische sculpturen gepresenteerd.
About Robert Rino by the Flemish artist Rinus Van de Velde is a Nest-filling installation in which Van de Velde tells the story of Robert Rino. The works of this fictional artist, which are produced by Van de Velde can be found in the drawings that fill the walls of Nest from top to bottom, but are also presented within the in situ installation itself. Within this presentation Van de Velde returns to the practise of drawing large murals which earned him his acclaim, while at the same time it's also the premiere of his ceramic objects, presented alongside the large cardboard sculptures which Van de Velde introduced the last few years.
