yeah, I'm so with you on that. If you watch the pre-air recorded stuff of the KTLA appearance he and Tae were like a couple of naughty kids. They were waiting with the presenter to go on air and I'm sure Tae was whispering things to J-Hope because he replied and they both burst out laughing and RM leant across to signal them to be good. Tae still whispered something to J-Hope and then tickled him under the chin. Little devils. :))

en verre Well I'm glad Tae is feeling better because in the last few videos of him in Korea like in BTS Run he was looking sort of down and out of it and wasn't really smiling and I had a conversation about this with a few ARMYs in the comments of a yt video called " Did yoongi and taehyung switch souls" and we were talking about how it could be because of his friend passing away around the same time as his grandmothers death anniversary and their was other theories too like he could be acting manly or he could be maturing etc.

The boys' English has been improving so much! I am so proud of them. They sound so fluent. Actually they sound speaking in English than I do and it's my first language lmao. Also, I love how they are more confident with speaking it.😂

I’m really hating these question more and more after every interview now... I’m REALLY relying on Ellen as the last hope for MEANINGFUL QUESTIONS. About song lyrics that critique society, End Violence campaign, their struggles from starting out in such a small company, being role models for Asian representation. And on and on and on...
EDIT: and for them to realise that ARMY aren’t just a bunch of rabbid teenage fan girls. We are all ages and gender. I guess they will never understand the relationship between us because it’s hard to explain. They work hard for us and we work hard for them. It’s symbiotic. We are in this together.....

I can't wait to hear what Ellen asks them. But right now the interviews are very scripted. Big Hit is trying to sell them to the US, gain more fans. They knew they were getting these question ahead of time and they decide what is the best way to answer. Maybe they didn't want more in depth questions or the interviewer's are asking basic questions as an introduction to BTS, for the non fans. I would love to see more in depth questions but I doubt we will see any on this media blitz. Their job right now is to get their faces and music out there for new consumers, and to do that in the most appealing way.
My bestfriend works in PR and said that this is a pretty basic way to introduce a new product to a new market. Keep it basic but showcase the talent in a way that sells to the target demographic. American teenage girls.

I really wish American interviewers would come up with more unique questions and at least try and show some familiarity with the group's projects and background. You don't need to speak Korean to find out stuff about them and ask them more thoughtful questions.

That is typical of most interviews, they don’t normally ask unique questions. Most celebrities get the same boring questions over and over. You would think they would try and come up with thoughtful questions, but they typically don’t.
That's exactly what I said the moment this interview started. Sigh. Ask them about their music and lives and backgrounds and shit. Let them speak in Korean even to get into deeper answers. Not hard to find a translator.
