the progress is absolutely insane, when i first saw one of your videos ~3 weeks ago you were extremely nervous to even be outside of your neighborhood, and now you feel limited by your bike's speed

🤣🤣 Its been so nice to just record what I say because I talk aloud alot when I ride to just settle myself while I ride, its always somewhat nerve wracking but talking through it makes it fun!

You're doing awesome dude! Im a pretty new rider myself and love your videos! I agree with what you said about motorcycles. They're freeing. You feel more aware than when you're in a car.

You're doing so great!! Love seeing you progress. I found that anything over 50mph was rough with the wind as well, so I bought a windscreen for my bike, not sure if they make one for yours... hoping to make my way to the coast soon. Just have to ride about an hour from the mountains!
and don't worry, I get passed by Camry's on my Rebel 500.... people just drive way too fast in San Diego. (which is part of the reason why I haven't made it out of my own town lol)

Thank you so much for the encouragement! Still trying to get the hang of things! Will try to find a windshield just to make it more comfortable, i do want a bike like yours tho, something with more power 💪lol

You can take that 150 to Daytona with those high speeds! I just ride my XR on the little backroad 2-lane highways to get to the dirt stuff. I'm fine without a windscreen up to 65 until I get a side-wind. You sit up high on these dual-sports so I feel like I catch more wind from the side compared to the shorter street bikes.

Yeah, you're on an XR150L, you do have time. Not like the old XR's from the 80's where my XR200RD was 2/3 the weight of the XR150 and twice the power. I've not long bought a couple of these as ex farm bikes and wanting to get one on the road. The lack of power isn't an issue as the top speed around here is only 100km/h (60mph) and there aren't that many places I can do that.

You've officially ridden more miles than me at this point; I'm at around 280 miles total. Good job dude. I think my problem is that I don't like riding just to ride because in New York you're just dealing with constant stop and go traffic so it takes away the fun. I wish I could ride somewhere where there's so little traffic like where you are.
You definitely seem like you're nearly ready for an upgrade but I'd say you're only ready to upgrade when you can ride without making a single mistake(such as the stall you did at one point). Or if you do upgrade now, upgrade to a 300 or 400. Keep the current bike though, maybe your significant other can learn to ride it!
Oh, one small tip; always look over your shoulder when you change lanes, even after checking the mirror. There have been so many times I've checked mirrors; it's clear, I look over my shoulder and there's a huge truck coming up. Once I heard a motorcycle coming up behind me; I check my mirror and don't see a thing, and then like one second later he zooms by really close to my side. Stay safe out there!

I have not upgraded yet I am going to ride this a little longer for sure! And yeah I need to clean up alot of my mistakes for sure! And thanks for the pro tip on looking over my shoulders I must get used to that as well!
It is very nice to ride around my area its just the hills make driving a 150cc very limiting which is probably a good thing for a beginner rider haha
