What I liked most about the part where he kissed her at the party was that he still thought she was cursed, but he kissed her anyway, proving beyond a doubt that he really liked her for her.
One reason I like this channel so much is that it introduces me to films I've never heard of before. Great story! Great pick, Kay!

This movie does the "ugly hot-chick" trope from teen-romcoms and takes it seriously.
I had for a bit in the movie thought people litterally saw her differently. Like the worse their heart is the worse she looks. but they disprove that later on. It was a but unrealistic that everyone was so terrified of her, but all in service of the fairy tale i suppose. still for a lighthearted modern fairy tale it's pretty good.

For me this movie is an enjoyable watch (both the likeable and unlikeable characters) and is deserving of wider viewership than it gets (and I loved the Last Jedi "whimsical" edits you added). Please do Thomas crown affair1999 next. I love Penelope even though the plot has so many holes. why don't they redo this movie. then again maybe they shouldn't cause they might ruin it...... very charming movie
