One pin pulls the rod in, the other holds it it in. Apparently there are a number of variations from Kubota....

Let me ask you...I pulled the fuel cutoff on a Kukje 24hp engine, bench tested and it wasn't good. However, I bought a new actuator and connected it to the wiring (not installed). At rest, the actuator is at full length, and when I turn the key on it retracts, but then in a few seconds it returns to full extension. Bad ground--or no ground, even with the actuator plugged into the tractor? Is the unit grounded to its body?? At the moment, I was testing safety switches so I hot-wired the ignition/coil. Runs fine, but without an actuator in place I have to manually turn off the engine. QUESTION: When I turn the key the actuator should remain retracted but it doesn't. Why?

I saw on one video that when working right and you turn off switch it has a timed delay before shutting off. So it sounds like yours is working right now. I too am having this solenoid problem, but i haven't pulled mine off to test it. But turning the switch on and off on mine doesnt sound are feel like it is doing anything. Mine has the 2 wire solenoid and only wiring schematic i have found close is for the 1 wire.
