- In this video, we're going to be shooting some fine art photography at Osea Beach Huts. Situated right on the ocean, these huts provide the perfect setting for some long exposures and seascape photography.

Thanks for watching mate 👍!
Great video Lee. I enjoyed that 👍📷
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it . 👍
Nice one Lee, great shots, great vid. If I was closer, I'd definitely pay a visit.Instead though I'll just admire yours, good job mate.
Thanks Dave, glad you enjoyed it. Think I need to make more of an effort and travel further afield to some new locations. Need to give up work and buy a van !
Nice work mate. This place is on the list to visit !
Thank you, its a great location for a bit of long exposure work. Thanks watching 🙂
Great video Lee. That tide was aggressive! You nailed the long exposure technique though - fantastic shots. I really liked the first image - but would have been nice with the smoothed out water, shame you didn't get the right conditions for it. 👍
Thanks Robert, I was pretty happy with the images in the end , could always have better conditions lol. Maybe have to return at some point, maybe 🤔
Looks like you smashed it mate
Thank you mate , and for the inspiration to go shoot it 🙂
Nice video!
Thank you
I enjoyed this episode so much Lee.. the shot at 8:43 was class… well done Lee
Thanks Darren , i think this was all about making the effort to get to the location really but glad i did , i was pleased with that image and glad you like it to, thanks mate.
Hi Lee thanks for the comment regarding my pocket 3 question on another channel, thought I check out your channel , I live near Osea. Just subbed to your channel. 👍
Thanks mate, I'm further south in Ramsgate . Loved osea. Thanks for the sub appreciate it 🙏. I only used my pocket 3 for one video so far but I'm very happy with it, not having to lug another camera and gimbal around has been a blessing !
Great vlog Lee
thanks John, look forward to seeing some video work from you here some time soon !
😂
Nice one Lee as always... A classic and well a shot location but defo worth the 4hr round trip...👍
Thank you John, glad you like it. Thanks for watching 👀
I have always enjoyed seeing the images from this locations and I get the photoshopped bit to tiday them up. I think you have managed to come away with a few images that anyone would be very happyt with Lee so your trip was well worth it. It's an iconic location and if nearer I think I would get along there but essex is way out of my range. I agree with Darren re the shot at 8:43 atb Al
Thanks Alan, I would like to go again I would of liked some more cloud detail in the sky but overall I was pleased with the results, appreciate the comment mate thank you.
@@LeePelling It's an interesting subject for sure and the fact a 2 hour drive through busy roads means it was worth the journey for you. Strangely I am not one for clear skies and would normally opt for clouds too but in this instance (the fine art type image) I think a cloudless sky would work better? Got me thinking also Lee , the location itself has become over the last few years a photographers "tick list" location - given its distance from me I would be asking how far would I travel to shoot a location on that ever growing list of "tick list" locations? It might be a good subjexct for the pubcast boys to discuss?
@@thevalleywalker some valid points here mate, i would like to see how a more cloudy sky would look given it would be a long exposure and start to streak it may give some detail and interest in that area, maybe a return at some point to find out! I have this battle of how far to travel , i think so far this has been the furthest car journey i have made for a single image, this took up may six or seven hours of my day taking the round trip and time on location into account . Think i need a campervan like the big boys lol !! Would be a good topic to discuss on the pubcast especially given the time and cost factors now involved these days !
Great vlog Lee, I love those beach huts and you got some cracking images. The time-lapse was a great way show the receding tide.
Thanks Andrew, glad you enjoyed it, the time lapse took a while to take but in hindsight i wish i did it for a little longer to be honest but as you would have seen that tide was so quick to get in and back out time was a real issue on this shoot.
Hi Lee, I love that place, I'm in Felixstowe so it's not a million mile from me, an hour or so maybe, I've been there a couple of times and I'm planning on going back there this weekend, probably on Saturday, either that or Pin Mill. Talking about Pin Mill, have you shot there yet, or the Groynes at Cobold point, Felixstowe? Both are great locations, but further to drive than Osea 😀 Enjoyed the video mate and have subbed.
Hi Steve, thanks for the sub and I am glad you enjoyed the video. I have seen images of pin mill but never shot there, maybe one day I will take a drive up, it's a fair drive from down here in Ramsgate but always looking for new locations! Thanks again
Image at 8:26 is fabulous
Thank you mate 👍
I've always been so impressed by how far the tide moves in and out there. The only place I've ever seen that happen here is in Maine. Love those beach huts as well, never seen those over here either. Beautiful image at 8:50 with those long shadows. You got some nice clouds at the end, love the shot at 12:20 with the grasses. Great video and images mate, well worth the four hour roundtrip drive. Hope you are doing well pal, have a great weekend!
Thanks Paul, the tide certainly took me by surprise just how fast it was coming in, i was not expecting it to be so high on arrival, thought i had given myself plenty of time but clearly not. I do struggle finding new locations to shoot and think i do need to start thinking of travelling further to get to new places but then it becomes a time issue , work really gets in the way, need to win the lottery ! Things are fine here mate, hopefully you and the family are all settled into your new home and enjoying the benefits of the move, it certainly looks a stunning place to live mate, take care
Just a note the car park is now chargeable £2.50 for 1 hour and up to £8 for 4 hrs.
Thanks for the update!
