Starting a 2005 Mercedes-Benz ML 270 CDI (W163) after 2 years

- ...or maybe 18 months, or something like that. Just a short video of the first start of my W163 after a long repair break. Started surprisingly easily, just like if it was driven yesterday.
man this ml270 has sat for 2 years yet it starts more faster than my daily driven ml270😂😂
It sure was a surprise how easily it started… Just like it was parked yesterday.
She's a good engine clearly, made when Merc were good. The last one I had the worse car I have ever owned and don't get me started on the dealership!
Yes, the engine itself is pretty durable in these cars. Most serious issue these CDI-engines have is probably leaking injectors… If I ever encounter that again, I’ll surely make a video about it.

@@ccrepairchannel Your welcome mate. Yes I lost a lot of money, I even had Mercedes UK involved but the dealership still did me over. I could have fought it with a lawyer, I had one willing to take my case on, but to be honest I just wanted rid of it as it made me angry and unwell dealing wit it. Last Merc I will ever own, I bought my Micra the next day 😁. Her future in the balance this week, annual test time 😒
@@WelshRob1964 I can totally relate to that… I’ve more or less loved every single car I’ve owned, but some of them have been quite a lot to tolerate… Sometimes enough just is enough…
Is it an OM-647 or the older OM-612 engine ?

I have a 270 cdi, truly great engine and gearbox, if you maintain this car it will out live you.
Heh, probably true… Just need to ignore some minor cosmetic corrosion defects 😅
