I really appreciate your honest review. I'm a little disappointed that they did not add more to do in The Valley. It would have been nice if they added more characters coming and going and more changes with an each chapter. Maybe some more festivals too or competitions. But glad that it has kept its same feel and looking forward to playing it
Thanks, this seems like a very rational look at the game. I’m definitely coming in from the “I adored this game when I played it 20 years ago on GameCube” crew. The art style was a concern of mine, and it seems to have been addressed. It looks like this one is really a “for the fans” remake and that’s okay with me. The gameplay loop can be almost meditative. I know that for a sizable amount of people, Stardew Valley and its derivatives were the introduction to the genre and I can see how this would feel a little more bare-bones? But for me, who recently went back and tried to play it and was shocked at how effective my nostalgia glasses were, I am grateful to hear reviewers like you make statements about how this remake resembles the game we THOUGHT we played back then lol😅 Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Looking forward to playing this.
My preorder just downloaded. I'm excited. I think personally even tho I haven't played it yet, a 9 out of 10. One because it's my fave game, and two I'm removing a point from 10 because I agree with you they could have added more. However, since it stuck to its original feel, sounds and charm I grew up with and why I loved this game as my fave in the first place, it's a solid 9.
If I was just going off of nostalgia I would definitely give it a 9 or 10 but looking at the gameplay they could've slightly tweaked it. Maybe make the Holidays events that have mini games?
Only complaint I have so far before this comes out is Cody's new look. I loved his old look so much and don't like his new change. That being said I'm still picking this up
Awesome video keep up the good work & I agree with you with your review on Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life & I’m worried about me getting this game this year even I don’t want to leave Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town because it is my favorite game & it is feels like home for me in my personal opinion & I don’t want to imagine me playing a wonderful life remake version on Nintendo switch because it not feel like home to me at all & I feel well depressed & empty & not being true self at all & I feel like crying & still missing my grandpa papa even more & if I might give this game a 3/10 because it is a depressing farming game & it didn’t feel like home at all & it didn’t add seedling mode at all & it have a very sad ending in my personal opinion
I wanted to love this game but I'm so disappointed in Marvelous. The fact that they didn't make Nami an official trans character in the game just killed it for me. Nami was the perfect character to represent the trans community.

That was a thing in the ds/ds cute version of the game if you had friends of mineral town/ more friends of mineral town in the gba advance slot.

@@The_RealH3R0 I agree completely on that. Wouldn't hurt to add more seasonal events. They do update games...so maybe they will add things later

Unfortunately not, but where it ran good on Switch I can imagine it'll only be better on Consoles & PC!
