It's hard not mentioning Mac vs Alvarez also. That was one of the first times i thought a champion had zero business being in the cage with his opponent after watching the first 2-3 minutes of the first round. I think Eddie landed a few strikes, and it was literally just a waiting game for when Connor was gonna knock him out. Crazy to watch

I agree and just saw your comments after I had already mentioned UFC 205 where Conor made The lightweight champion who had just knocked out RDA and others..Eddie A. Conor became the 1st ever 2 separate weight class 145&155 UFC Champion and made the supposedly bigger fighter Eddie Alvarez look like some guy off the street that night at Madison square Garden. He was so on top he was invited to a totally different sport to take on the worlds best boxer. Unfortunately Conor hasn't looked the same since, except when he destroyed "Cowboy" in 40 seconds.
I know y’all hate him. But Conor Mcgregor’s performance against Eddie Alvarez to capture the 155lb title? People were convinced this man had a chance against Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match after that.
This was after the Also win which was in another realm compared to the Alvarez win. Yes, the Eddie win was a better overall performance because it was more a technical beat down compared one well timed strike on the button but Aldo was P4P the best at the time and hasn't lost in a decade. Many, myself included, assumed it was the moment Conor finally ran into a superior striker and instead ... That happened. The Alvarez win already came after the Aldo win followed by Nate smashing the hype train and even the rematch being closer than it should considering the hype Conor gained at the time and that Nate was a durable yet average top 15 fighter who clearly wasn't champion material. The Eddie win was nice but everyone knew he could beat Eddie.

All respect to Charles but if people were quick to say “Khabib retired to avoid Charles Olivera” wouldn’t it now make sense Charles Olivera became a champion because Khabib retired. Khabib didn’t even need to come out of retirement to prove there is levels.
I don't think its a stretch to say during this whole time that Charles Oliveira was all intents and purposes; the interim champion. Nothing wrong with that, Charles deserved to win and hold UFC gold but given how dominant Khabib was and how easily Islam despatched of Charles (who was considered by many to be Khabib's foil) one can't help but think this.
Love her or hate her, Ronda Rousey should be on this list. Cat Zingano was 9-0, had just beaten Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes and many people thought she had the wrestling to match Ronda's Judo. However, Ronda beat her easily in a record-breaking 14 secs. Whilst you could argue that Cat was the cause of her own downfall by rushing in recklessly at the opening bell, Ronda still had to get the job done; somewhat similar to how Mcgregor-Aldo played out. Ronda was already on a tear in women's MMA but this win was so God-like it made Joe Rogan think she could beat half the men in the men's Bantamweight division.
The Charles vs Islam fight feels like we're rewriting history. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I thought the first round was competitive and then in the second Charles got knocked down, as he does, but this time Islam got on him and squeezed the shit out if him. I thought it was a good fight, not a lopsided fight. I'll have to watch it again.
You're misremembering. The two notable things Charles did in round 1 was get up off bottom one time and a significant upkick towards the end. Otherwise, he was either on bottom getting gnp'd or getting rocked on the feet while missing his own shots. Perhaps you should rewatch the fight from a judge's perspective, as being a fan of a fighter subconsciously diverts our attention only towards the achievements of the fighter we support.

Cody is the biggest what if. He was so damn good but relied on his power and offense rather than utilizing what got him the belt in the first place in fighting smarter and out classing opponents. We got amazing KOs but we also learned Cody has no chin. He should have beaten TJ the first time around easily had he not let his emotions get in the way and fight for the KO and just let his superior striking prevail like in the Cruz fight
Islam vs Oliveira was a very bad match up for Oliveira, stylistically as he's very comfortable giving up his back and had never really been punished for it. HOWEVER; Oliveira vs Islam 2 could go very different pretty easily if he just didn't keep giving up his back. I know it's a punch that knocked him down to be put in a submission, but a lot of it is getting gassed by constantly just being smothered.

It looked like Conor was fighting some normal guy on the street and kicking his ass, not The UFC Lightweight champion Alvarez. I still rank that as the greatest performance EVER in the UFC !! Conor couldn't miss in that fight and he was under enormous pressure to perform after his "War" with Diaz at 170lbs. Remember he also became the 1st ever simultaneous UFC champion that night owning the UFC 145&155 lb belts. He had the world at his feet and I was actually sad to see him go off and Box with Mayweather because I suspected...Conor would never be the same or have the same hunger again.
I spit my coffee at BJ Penn complete package😂
bruh... I'd fix the title and thumbnail, considering that you're talking about a muslim person
When did he ever give his back to his last 5 opponents including Islam?
@@manavbhalla2861 my bad I meant going into guard (laying on his back), was pretty sleepy
Im really upset that Anderson Silva isnt on the list when he beat Chris Leben because that god like streak is the best ever
anderson v rich franklin?
No Anderson vs Franklin? I'd have that over Pettis vs Bendo 2
I always wondered how a Conor rematch would go
WEC was special
Israel with the way he beat costa should be in this list wth
Charles vs Gaethje
Khabib vs Barboza
Neither qualify for the list
Khabib. That's all. Goodnight!
Anderson Silva should've been on this list
Jon Jones Vs USADA
Dude Cody versus Cruz was a robbery. Cruz won that fight.
Haram title brother ..
Can we please talk about how MMA fighters are incredible athletes, but when a basketball is introduced they all become the equivalent of water boys?
Hoping to see Matt Serra on this list
Edit: he wasn't. You guys messed this one up.
Take that title down don’t ever put god
Why did yall change the thumbnail from Islam to Francis? LOL
Anderson Silva vs Forest Griffin
Ben knows how to survive subs that's how I Kno him
