    I trained Shorin Ryu for 6 years under an 8th and 9th Dan in California. I recognize all of these techniques and love seeing the application of a "tight" stance, rolling hips with a "loosey goosey" upper body.
    This is where all of the hand speed and power comes from.

    Beautiful to watch high-level karate instruction by a real Japanese master. I don't know his name or the style, but I know enough to appreciate it. Perfect balance and control at all times, counters, arm and wrist lock and throws. I only wish I could understand more Japanese, but I can still get much of it. A great teacher, and, as is customary, his chosen assistants have an uncomfortable time as he applies these painful techniques on them. You can feel their pain, but it's all part of the learning process.

    what the Master / Instructor is doing in the video, is to demonstrate one of the ways to strike using the minus force possible and the most engergy transference...and this is suported by phisics science. And you may be sure that he is doing very gently...but the results are very hard...for those wo can not develope a strong body, this is the most efective way to strike, even on a strong and trained body. The way the students, and take note that they are graduate students, so they must had the body prepared for it, is only the result of a slow and soft action. I´ve experienced that that tecnic and is so powerful as dificult to be able to use it. Train and dedication are the only tools for that kind of aprentisage. Best regards.

    • @Anibal677

      Yes I agee I don´t see any abuse he is doing soft hits (maybe it hurts a little to the students because the thecniques ares efective). But I have a question (or two): Which Martial Art is it? I don´t reconigze the master´s uniform. An is he explaining some Kata Bunkai?

    Хорошо, что они внимательны и сообразительны, что, вместо того, чтобы заниматься какой нибудь хренью (боксом), они стали изучать то, что действительно является культурой.

    Do you really think that those uke students don't know what's going to happen there?. These are martial arts. Of course there are "soft" ways to teach a technique, but it is clear that even when it is executed with certain power, there is also control over the same. Makes me think that those people complaining about the way the Sensei is using to teach, have never felt a real punch or kick. As said in the previous comments, it is better to cry in the dojo than to die in the street.

    • @zebbanister2348
      @zebbanister2348 4 роки тому

      yeah but who dies in the street from a fight? It's usually gun fire that kills someone. The martial arts were developed before guns were around. Martial arts are good for conditioning and the mind but not practical any longer for the street.

    • @bgdavis5089
      @bgdavis5089 4 роки тому +4

      @@zebbanister2348 Yeah, reminds me of some punk after a karate demo in Dallas said to the instructor, "Man, my .45 would beat that shit any time!" The instructor looks at him and says, "You got it with you?" Punk: "No..." Instructor: "Then you lose, don't you?" All the gun crap is good for John Wayne wanna be's and drive-by punks. 99% of the time the people in the bar or on the street or at the beach aren't carrying. You have your gun in the bathtub, in the shower or when you're going swimming? In the real world, plenty of people get kicked to death, stomped to death, or knifed. If you have to rely on a gun 24/7 you are gonna get drilled.

    • @zebbanister2348
      @zebbanister2348 4 роки тому

      @@bgdavis5089 i can honestly say that i highly doubt anyone would be kicked or stomped to death as you put it, in their shower! and even then the gun could be just outside the shower. Anyone with a carry permit is safer than anyone studying the martial arts. I don't think you disagree with me. But, I will say that the martial arts might be helpful in rare cases. Running is even better and carrying a gun and running is best.

    • @jujitusuka
      @jujitusuka 4 роки тому

      Zeb Banister not all countries have liberal gun laws here in the U.K. only criminals have guns and people do get stomped to death, knifed, beaten etc., so some kind of unarmed combat experience would help but then so would avoidance and running away.

    White crane of the Okinawan old shorin ryu variety. (I’ve lived in Taiwan most of my long life and spent Time in Okinawa) nice to see. It’s ok to hit students with their consent. They get to feel the real application of the different types of power (fah jing). Once you get used to getting hit a lot by an old school Master ( mine was 10th duan) you won’t be bothered by anything on the street. This is also a method of training the mind to keep your intention (YI) and “ coolness “ while brushing off pain

    It would be real nice to see him working these techniques on resisting opponents from another school (who are actually fighting back). No disrespect to what he’s doing, but I don’t think you should hold his nuts until you can see his style put to the test. I’m like most UA-camrs: We’re tired of seeing these types of demonstrations. The UFC and other REAL combat fighters made it so that everyone now has the hustle to prove that what they have actually works.

    This is the bridge between Wing Chun and Jiu-Jitsu and karate !this guy is amazing very fun great job notice the San chin dachi.stance is very similar to The Wing Chun stance.my sensei started Shu ha do.in 1971. He is in his eighties .now.
    Shu do kan. was his original style...very inspired

    This is undoubtedly a great master. But the master in his art. Will his art be effective against Thai boxing, or in mixed martial arts? I would like to take a look at this. Will he also be sure when his opponents will be the same weight with him?
    Will the principles of his movements (the "engine") work when his opponent moves as a "shuttle" (forward-backward). I doubt.

    I see some posts complaining about the abuse the students take, but these are high ranking guys, and someone trying to mug or harm you outside is not gonna hit you softly. You HAVE to know what it feels like to get hit.
    Better to cry in the dojo than to die in the street.

    小林寺流空手道の関係者の方は、この映像を見て
    ①袴みたいな道着を推奨しているのか?
    ②門下生にたいして悶絶するくらい当てたり蹴ったりしているが
    そういう指導を推奨しているのか
    是非コメントを求めたい

      las artes marciales son para curtir el alma el espíritu,.el cuerpo.pero antes de aprender patadas puñetazos .hay que aprender aser mas humilde .y recuerda siempre abra alguien mejor que tu ,se acen usos abusivos usos inadecuados .no hay que de mostrar nada nadie .i ser mas humilde hay que trabajar estas cosas .

    Hands Down..., this particular art is very powerful due to its whipping like strikes n deflections. JKD as well as other arts use this types of techniques to simultaneously destroy the opponent's attacking arms or legs to end the fight as quickly as possible. I would take up this art and master if it was available in my area. Great training discipline too to strengthen your mind n body as well.
