Thank you so much. Yes the kids are awesome 👏 especially in these conditions which were really tough to endure the stingers and krill. It’s like swimming in rice soup almost. Core memory for sure ☺️
This is fascinating! I love seeing how confortable your kids are in the water and such amazing divers and swimmers. It took me years not to fear the water.
We're so lucky to have this amazing environment to help them grow up loving the water and exploring it.. they adore the ocean. During this experience, I must say I’m so proud of how they handled the discomfort of stings and the weird feeling of the krill - it’s like swimming in rice soup.
This is so so magical. I love how they kind of backflip through the water. What a thing to experience up close 🥹 it felt like watching a nature doc except I kept having to remind myself that while I enjoy this stunning footage, you actually LIVED these moments!!! Incredible. The kids did so well too! Completely at home in the deep ☺️
Yeah they just tumble around like this for hours, they can stack over each other and glide turn in symmetry. It’s soooo cool to witness! I have so much more footage and it’s all insane hey. I’m so proud of the kids. Crazy to think Filly can’t really remember this 😲 she was so brave. Arlo has great memories of it and was also so resilient with the stings and discomfort of being out there so long. Forever memories now with video backup!!
Magical. ❤ Thank you for sharing. I swam with manta rays once in Fiji but nothing like this feeding fest! Ophelia and Arlo are such confident and fearless children, a credit to you both. And how cool that Darwin was able to come along for the ride!
They are just so magical and majestic aren't they, glad you enjoyed! 😊 the kids blow me away! And yes I am so glad Darwin was there 😂 easiest way to adventure with a little one ha ha
Wow! I love how the children embraced the adventure!👏 I was amazed how freely they moved about you all and wasn't bothered with your presence in the slightest!! Your music fit their performance perfectly while they moved so graciously and effortlessly, all the while putting on a spectacular ballet like no other I have ever or will ever see. Thank you so much for sharing!! Definitely a once in a lifetime(for this North Carolina lady), experience. Big hugs🤗
This is the kind of moment that makes all the challenges of island living worth it! 😊 honestly this was such an incredible experience. Being down there with them so unbothered by us and doing what nature was calling them to do - feed. Unreal hey! So glad you enjoyed!
@@TheIslandLifeofUs Absolutely, me and my wife had the luck of snorkeling with manta rays in Indonesia ( Nusa Penida )😍, and was great, but we couldn't stay to much in the water because of itchy sensation caused by planktons 🥲 Greetings from Romania 🥰
Absolutely stupendous, great footage and production. Arlo and Ophelia have grown so much in a year. Gotta hope we have a mass return of the Mantas soon.
Awesome video! I recently got back from Hawaii where I had my very first manta ray encounter. Your kids are so lucky to have access to such an amazing environment to grow and learn in. I didn't discover this stuff until much later in life, and needed to travel all over the world to see it. I'm jealous. Also, kudos to you both for being brave enough to encourage your children to be brave. I wish more parents did that. Too many people are defined by their fearfulness these days.
Glad you got to see the mantas in Hawaii! We’re always encouraging our kids to be comfortable with the water but I do think this kind of experience takes true courage for sure and our kids definitely showed that on this occasion. Modeling comfort in the water plays a big role I believe and really I hope more families get out for ocean adventures as we may not always have such ecosystems to admire 💁🏼♀️
