I’m happy I Came Across Your Channel. The New York State Fair is here where I’m from which is Syracuse Ny, Every Time We Go We Always Stop By My Cousins Uncle Food Spot which is a black owned business as well as others around that area but I came an African shop I was hoping to see the other shop but it wasn’t there this year so I was admire all the incense, clothing, soaps and body’s butter. I decided to purchase Body butter pink privacy as I was leaving there was a table and seen three different colognes there was an original, A money one and the 7 African powers and I was drawn to the last one. Hello i would like to set up my own altar for the 7 african powers but i heard yemaya and oya dont get along is that true? Although i'd rather have them on one table
Don't sit them on the same altar
I have them together. In thle middle between them is my mother Oshun. They are Orishas, they do not fight. Now if you are gonna make any blood sacrif, they must not eat together. That is something you will learn when you get baptized under this religion.
it's not that they don't get along, but that they respect each other's space. Instead of putting them next to each other, place another entity in between them or place them farther apart.
The 7 African Powers are not Orisha. They are the spirits of the 7 tribes that came into the diaspora.
Oya and Yemaya do not have issue with each other. Oya is offended by the smell of a certain animal that is given to Yemaya, that is it. There is no “beef” as some people mistakenly believe.
@@ElBrujoCoral Brother, they are all that and other things too. They are worshipped in several religions, and each has their traditions regarding them. The diaspora is far and wide, and they are recovering their roots which will take time.

The 7 African Powers came with the ancestors on the slave ships. Although forced to convert to Catholic or Protestant forms of Christianity, the ancestors carried on their true religion but using Christian iconography and saints to disguise it. As time has past by, their imagery has evolved in different ways according to the region and religion. So although this generation has reclaimed the original 7 orishas, believers in the religions listed above refer to them by different names. For me, the funny thing is that whether you call upon them by their original names, their derived names, or by the Christian saints, they still offer help.

What does it mean if the candle burned black half way down?
I assume you are using the candles in the glass jar; if so It is my knowledge that the candle burning black half way down indicates conflict and obstacles that needed to be done to meet your request. If the candle eventually clears and ends clean and clear the request was successful. If the candle burns black until the end, this is telling you that your request was unsuccessful because more work is needed to achieve your result. You may need to repeat the ritual several times until it burns clear, or try something a little stronger, or reconsider your request. Hope that was helpful.
