There are 3 ways to get to invert: 1.) Throttle up flip. Then you will rise and usually away from you. 2.) Drop flip, which is what you tried 2:42. 3.) Rock flip. Just rock back/forth to use the momentum then flip and hold. Most important is that you practice inverted orientation on the simulator. Not just nose-in, but side, other side and tail-in. Why? When you invert you never know which way you will be facing. You may freeze on the rudder, also, since rudder direction is also backwards. Before, I ever tried to invert I mastered all 4 orientations inverted on the simulator. I also, mastered forwards inverted motion on the simulator, because there is no guarantee you will be "dead stop inverted" when you try inverting. Most cases, you will be moving in a certain direction. Total, absolute, unquestioned control. At least, you can master that on the simulator, first. Enjoy...
Thank you very much! I know exactly what you mean with the not guaranteed "dead stop" on one spot! I have this moving in certain directions in almost the half of my upright flip attemps. A slight forward or backward move because I let the elevator go too late or too early. I guess at this piont I can's avoid a simulator anymore. My helis are getting bigger and more potentially dangerous and my ambitions are as well rising. So far I was never ursing a simulator. I will gor for it! Best wishes!

It's fantastic to know that I can crash as often I "need" to understand how to control my heli in inverted hover. I waited to long, but it;s never tool late. And now with the coming winter the sim will be my good friend!
Thank you! Oh circles! You don't want to know how long I needed to get them right! Endless traing! I guess they are one of the most tricky things. The cyclic controls with "breaking" the heli with "up" elevator, getting the lean angle right... oh my God! Maybe one good tip: I was flying squares (quadrangles) at first: 4 corners with short straights to talke a breath inbetween😀! Straights getting shorter and shorter till I ended up with a circle and did not even notice it. 😀 And I trained ALWAYS clockwise and couterclockwise. Good luck! Hope this helps!

Doing a great job Matthias! Excellent vid! When you are doing your rolls, reduce your pos collective to negative at the same time as the roll - when the blades are vertical, be at 0 degress / centre stick. - this principle applies when flying forward or backward. Keep going pal.

I did my first Heli roll IRL on my 150 today and the roll went fine, only catching it afterwards wasn't as smooth as in the sim! ;) keep up the good work, cheers from Berlin!
Thats great! Congratulations! The smaller the more difficult it is for me because all goes faster! Yes, the whole timng was a tricky thing to learn and I still need lots of training! No two rolls or flips are really identical :) Cheers to Berlin! I have studied at the FU and I love Berlin!
You need MORE SIMM time, also you should try and HOVER INVERTED first, just like we learned to HOVER FIRST when right side up before we started flying figure 8’s. Moving the heli around inverted without mastering inverted hover is a recipe for a crash. 👍🏼👍🏼
@MARKLINMANT1 I just bought myself a SIM for the first time and have to do the radio programming for it. Your advise to first hover inverted makes a lot of sense, as good and stable hovering was and is the key ability for all that comes later! I will see in the simulator how this works. Hard 3D is not really my thing but low headspeed slow 3D is something that looks beautiful and that inspires me! I will do inverted stable hovering and the first thing. No, first I have to get the heli into the inmverted position! Thanks for your advise!
Thank you Vitalina! Once I almost got a heartattack because my beautiful machine was almost smashing in the ground! There were olny a few cm missing! I had more luck than brains!! Sometimes you just have to be lucky!! 😀
Matthias, I find the movements you are doing grandioos 👋👍. They are way more, better and daring then I ever will do. Have almost a hart-attack seeing you doing those, and ending very close to the ground. Without even remotely wanting to give comments and/or tips (with my 4 hours of flying with the M1 😳), when I look at the stickmovements those higmanoeuvre-flying 3D guys do, these are very fast, briefly and in a specific order. If, and I say "IF" I wanted to learn 3D, I would start learning specific stickmovements by heart and practice those, especcially the speed of the movements. And when your movementcycle(s) are all in, then at the "end" combine all those one afdter the other. BTW, must your headspeed not be a bit higher?????
Thank you very much, Peter!! Believe me, I got a heartattack in this barrel roll ending soo close above the ground. I increased my headspeed already a bit and it's fine now. Did a lot of testing with different rpm. Now I have the right compromise between enough headspeed (approx. 2200 rpm) and flighttime around 7, 8 minutes. I believe what I am doing now is a good preparation to 3D flying, because it includes moments of inverted flying. If it's possible to learn stickmovements... well I dont really think so. I have learned that there are no shortcuts. Once I did not go step by step... and came home with two crashed M1's and one chrashed M2... that was a bitter day. I believe in small steps... It took me 10500 flights to get here... Happy flights and best greetings, Peter!!
Nice flight! I know you're not too fond of computers, but a simulator can really help. There's no crash chance and it's a amazing way to train timing. What you can try in real life is dropping to 0 pitch just before the flip. That way you barely need any negative collective. You will drop little but less than you do with positive. You could also get the m7, the bigger size surely makes it easier 😜

I saw the m7 flight they did for Rotormaster Asia, looks like a amazing machine. We're getting our first child in January. So I have to wait with getting another heli. But it's defenitly at the top of the list

Your doing great... I do flips and loops with ease but can't fly circles as controlled as you do🫢. I still have to learn the basics...
