Great looking truck, but I have a question. On the rear of the truck on the passenger and driver's side there are those little sticks with amber lights on them sticking about 6 inches out of the truck, what exactly is the purpose of that? Is it to help the driver see where the edge of his truck is?

Amber lights, what a laugh!They are meant to be on snowplows, tow trucks, garbage trucks and all.Red is for emergencys not amber!It's my opinion.
Philippe Riopel red might be used for emergency lighting, but amber is always used for warning/fender/boundary lights
Exactly, they are marker lights. They are not emergency lighting.
Holly crap some Fire Dept's sure have some of the Taxpaying public snowed. The cost of a rig like this to chase behind an Ambulance is ridiculous! The Fire Dept in my City is finally being held accountable and being forced to justify their obscene budget ! Long overdue!
