Bethany, I am so sorry for the losses that you faced near the end of last year. I don’t think many people can relate with losing everything the way that you guys did. I am currently in a season of deep loss and it has made my application of God’s truth come alive in a way that is not as tangible in seasons of plenty. You start really actively seeking God’s refuge. You start relying with full dependence on his provision. You seek his word as daily bread because you feel completely hungry and empty. I am praying for you, that God‘s truth will continually be a bomb and a refuge to run to in this time. I am praying for you. I am thankful that you’re dedicated to continue your life as a living sacrifice, wholly devoted to Him.
In this time of grief and loss, I have found solace in the songs of Bethany Barnard, who has an album, called all my questions. I totally recommend it as it puts words to your feeling, and also turns our faces to the heavens, and I hope we find there.
Thank you so much for these encouraging words. Losing almost everything definitely puts you in a place of complete dependence upon the Lord and brings us to realize our immense need for him. It is challenging and painful, but we are also experiencing his care and love to new levels. I hope you are too as you navigate the loss in your life. May you feel deeply held by your Creator 🤍 I will definitely check out those songs - I haven't heard of them!
