Sarah!!! This video was so interesting and informative even though I’m not a diver myself!! Also thank you for the Shoutout!! Was so fun doing the tour with you!
great info for divers new or old. you should plan a road trip to North Carolina as the wrecks are diverse and interesting to dive. Also in the gulf stream so warm water. Keep up the great content. Safe and fun diving
Thank you so much for watching! I really want to do it. I have so many friends in that part of the country and it would be great to do both. I have a feeling it might just happen!
When you do a road trip here in South Carolina upstate we have some great diving. Would love to show you some great fresh water diving. Great video keep up the great work 👍 👍 👍
Honestly, there's not a huge difference in training between the recreational agencies (with the exception of GUE). I chose PADI because of the availability of jobs. PADI is still the powerhouse in the industry, and depending on where you are in the world, you'll have more options of where to work. It's also cheaper to do crossovers into other agencies if you do PADI first.
The Great Lakes are full of wrecks. Fresh water keeps the wreck from deteriorating as fast. Low intensity lights and strobes can help to mark entry points.
Scapaflow in Scotland is amazing for wrecks, so glad you mentioned some food water sites! Red sea in Egypt is where I have most of my wreck experience but always thankful to yourself and Aitor for amazing instruction when you guys were in mexico! Hugs from the yucatan, former student and annoying Brit, Michael, un fuerte abrazo!
thanks for this informative video. im doing wreck next week. so i want to ask you sinxe you are instructor qualified. when do you think its time for a diver to do rescue diver course? I have 40 dives currently.
40 dives is a pretty good number for rescue, but mostly it's about feeling confident and comfortable with yourself in the water before signing up to learn how to rescue others. Some people might be ready for that in 10 dives (although I don't recommend that) and others may not feel ready until over 100 dives. Regardless, do your research and take the rescue course with an experienced instructor who knows how to teach the course well. It can be done really poorly and you want to get the right training
For a recreational wreck diver that can only go a total of 130 feet (without loosing ambient light), how do you mark your reel so that you aren't exceeding the 130 foot rule (depth + wreck penetration)?
Can I add a thing for divers who aren't wreck qualified but just want to look around the outside? If there's a current, even around quite small ships and structures, it can have a powerful effect on us wee divers. It can catch people out especially around things like hatchways or holes cut into the sides so take care around these places and don't be like the guy I once saw who swam past a doorway and was suddenly sucked 20 feet into a silty dark passage!
Wreck Alley is a great place to wreck dive. Be forewarned however; wear a drysuit if at all possible. Or as much insulation as possible if diving wet. You’re welcome.

lol, I love your vibe.
Good video - better delivery. Thx - keep them coming....
Thanks a lot!
Wrecks are excellent. Wreck penetration is an advanced skill for sure. Reels, multiple lights, great buoyancy and finning techniques are imperative.
Yup! Not something I want to break down to the general public. Too many opportunities for shenanigans and danger

Of course man! Maybe next time we connect I can get you in the water 😆

That is awesome! I remember the first dive I did with my Razor, I love it since the beginning of the dive!
@@AzulUnlimited I love it I just have a couple adjustment questions lol
Hi Sarah. Love the videos. Why do you chose or did you chose when you started, PADI vs SSI? Is there any difference?

Very thanks for video 🤗🤗🤗👌👌👌🐬
Most welcome 😊

It was funny to hear you saying "PENETRATION"🤣🤣
Penetration Penetration Penetration 🤣😆
If you make it to Michigan, drop a line and I can point you to a good charter to dive some of the wrecks in Lake Huron!
Ooooo I don't think I'll make it there this year but let's connect on ig. That may be a 2023 kind of thing!
@@AzulUnlimited Absolutely! That would be awesome! Mayyyybe a little collabing lol. I’ll message you on IG

I actually don’t have experience with deep wreck or deep cave diving so hopefully someone else can answer that question for you 🙏

That must've been wild to see! And very good point. Didn't think to mention the issue with currents. Thank you!

hahahaha I definitely would've loved to have one, but I'm still rocking a 7mm semidry. It actually wasn't too bad... at depth it was 13C 😆
🤣🤣yer 12!!good video!
Thanks so much! We appreciate you watching 🙏
Another fantastic video. Looking forward to the 'road trip' videos, hope to see cool dive sites.
Coming soon! and thanks for your comment.
CANADA! Fathom Five National Marine Park in Tobermory, Ontario
🤙🤙
I penetrated one wreck that left my penetrator temporarily damaged. Be safe out there if you're a wreck diver 🤣
Ayayayy nothing beats a Penetration joke... 😆😬
in philippine coral is total wreck
I'm so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately that's a pretty common issue these days...
