Lisa's part was my fave and Taeyang carried the rest with his vocals. The structure of the song was a text book collaboration that is refreshingly simple and brilliant. As soon as Lisa's part came in, all eyes were on her and then we switch back to Taeyang to for the climax, it's just incredible. Their chemistry isn't at all romantic but it works so well on screen.

That's Doja cat's cadence. Lisa doesn't have a rap musicality, she's always taking some another rapper's flow and cadence. Girl got no identity of her own as a rapper, not to mention the lack of any sort of lyricism.

Ughh i love shoong taeyang voice just amazing. Just so beautiful in my ears. Taeyang did great job writing the lyrics, giving Lisa time to shine as well. Dont hate me, I dont really listen bp but Lisa part here is good. Like how Gdragon feat Rose, gd feat jennie was. This features bring the best of them.

Midnatt is not an AI. It’s Lee Hyun (BigHit soloist) alterego. AI was used just to adjust pronunciation in other languages. But Masquarade is a tremendous song that deserves all the recognition. The feminin voice is also a derivate from Lee Hyun own vocal range. Impressive, right? 😊

AI is coming; university courses are starting to embrace it. But it's difficult for me to accept in the arts. In some ways I'm glad to see HYBE playing with it now. I think they're experimenting with the tech to figure out if and where there is a place for it. It's better than ignoring what's happening and then having to scramble to keep up. The AI versions that people are posting to YT- covers of songs "by BTS members"- are pretty crude. They get one voice sort of right, but something is wrong with the other(s). The color/texture of the voices seem to muddle? erode? I don't know, but it's jarring. At least Lee Hyun the Person is singing here. He has always been a beautiful singer, and I admire him for giving this a go.
I think AI is very dangerous. It takes away from the artist and it's not REAL ITS PROGRAMMABLE. It can be good but you LOSE THE ESSENCE OF A HUMAN BEING creating ART!!! WHY do I want to spend my time and money on that??
