What's wrong with this door closer ? Locks.ith on the job

This is just another locksmith on the job. Video is door closes one that I believe had been attacked by a handyman or if not been neglected by somebody else, who clearly should not be touching it. As you can see, the end result is less and desirable and requires the whole door closer to be refitted to its correct position. Door closes available from a lockshop. Go to drlock.com.au/store.

This is a bodge installation. I see two issues:
1. Closer looks like it’s made to be used on a interior door. It looks like it could to be too light for an exterior door.
2. When mounted as parallel, the positioning of the closer needs to be very precise. If not, the door will not close or not open fully (both in this situation).
In Europe (except for the UK) I’ve seen not many parallel installations of doorclosers. It also doesn’t have my preference, the latchting force sometimes is to weak to latch the door properly without slamming.

I'm not even a locksmith, just a picker and noticed how close the arm was to the block. It also looks like the block on the door is too low?

Cool. So labor = bad hey? That's a convincing argument. I'm rather glad that the liberal party is out in the political wilderness, a decade of poor economic and social management has lead us to the point of wage stagnation, a housing crisis for the under 40s, degradation of health and the public service etc etc.
I guess however you can vote for whoever you want but I don't think your views are going to change anyone's mind, and I'd say your comment is rather tangential to the video....but you do you brother! Have a good one!
