I completely agree about not performing drunk or high. As a performing artist, I tend to avoid both as well. There's just something effective about being sober and on stage. It's much easier to handle the waves of energy, at least for me.
I dont think its a problem that he expects professionalism. I have friends that are musicians and its wild how bad they get treated. People dont take them seriously but they expect a pristine performance.
