I think I'd prefer Nagelsmann, but the argument could be that he's just a German Potter (tactical fluidity etc). Enrique is interesting. Not as exciting, but would have the different approach and can probably handle the squad better than Potter did

He’s Potter with big club experience. I don’t think he even has a set formation which is a red flag for me. We need stability on the pitch

@@mmsjejrinside385 ye the upside is high obviously. But I fear that the lack of structure will mean we'll stay the same path

You guys sound hopeless these days. Just because Potter failed doesn't mean any manager having tactical fluidity fails. Even Tuchel was a sort of fluid manager, never rigid with his system.
Taking Hoffenheim from a relegation team to finishing 4th, then 3rd, then 9th.
Then joining Leipzig and finishing them 3rd then 2nd.
Then joining Bayern and finally winning a trophy.
An experience of over 5 years at Top 4 & Europe and you call him German Potter? Oh dear.

    • @nSackStyles
      @nSackStyles Рік тому

      Regarding Enrique -
      (a) This is Arsenal's 4th season under Arteta
      (b) Remember Pep's 1st season with city?
Good results with possession based football takes at least 12-15 months to deliver.
Some fans will learn this the hard way I'm sure.
If Enrique comes, expect nothing special until mid-2024.
After a horrendous season like this, I can't see our fans having the patience to bear another one.
Enrique ≠ quick-fix manager. Hence, not my preferred option. Despite agreeing he's class!
More importantly, for the longer project, there is no guarantee that Enrique would be interested to stay beyond 3 season.
I think Enrique at the very max gives us 1 season of utter dominance & big trophies (that won't be S01)
But Naglesmann win equivalent trophies in a longer run(starting from S01)

I think Enrique would appear to suit Chelsea better. But that said, Enrique has the greater potential to fall out with Boehly - because he is a very opinionated man.
So after much thought, I am actually going to say Nagelsmann. He's not as hot-headed as Enrique, and would probably be the better option for solidity.
He would probably be less inclined to alienate several players soon into his time with the club. His young age also means that he may understand the very young players better, and ones that make the step from Academy to Senior squad over the next couple of years.
So my vote goes to Nagelsmann. But whoever of the two it is, will do a great job at turning things around.
If it's neither then it could be the wrong option. Simeone would definitely be a bad option. But he's unlikely to leave Atletico anyway.
I'm also not sure Pochettino would be right, as he has too many Spurs connections. Plus I think he'll rejoin them this summer as their new manager.
Can Chelsea make a swift move for Nagelsmann before its too late. He's much in demand, and if Chelsea don't move for him within the next month, they could lose out on him. By June it will be too late.
