Another tip for hanging door wreaths. I connect two wreaths by a long loop of ribbon and then just loop the ribbon over the door, displaying a wreath on either side of the door. No nails or hooks and you get to enjoy a wreath on the indoor side of your entry
Great idea. If you have wood on top of the door ( the part that is flush up against the framing when the door is closed) like I have had in every house I have lived in, you can just use a thumbtack and push it through the top of the ribbon and into the very top of the door that stays, the tack stays covered and up high when the door shuts.
Love this concept! After being married for nearly 32 years, I have so many bins, boxes, and totes full of decor. A lot of it is sentimental, so I don't want to throw it away. You've inspired me to update my items to give them new life! I hope you do more videos like this - even outside of Christmas.
I’m in tears watching you cut that beautiful red table runner. I think you sort all of your stuff by style instead of color. I think your videos are amazing. TFS.
I love the idea of remaking out of date or worn decorations and turning them into your current style. So much better than constantly buying new things. More cost effective and less waste. My favorite is the greenery you bought at IKEA. What a transformation with so little effort! Thanks so much for sharing all of these!
Great transformations and exactly what I needed. I have 30 years of Christmas hoarding, ummm i mean collecting. This equals alot of things that aren't my style anymore or in desperate need if updating. Very inspired, more please. Thanks!
Love your DIYs Liz. Last year I hosted a Christmas decoration swap. I invited my friends to bring any decorations they no longer wanted (in good condition). We displayed them all and then each person took home what appealed them. It was so successful as a pre-Christmas event, We are doing it again this year. Hreat way to recycle. 🤩
What a fantastic idea!! I know I just get tired of some of my decor, so trading it is would be such a wonderful idea. And, it sounds like it would be a lot of fun!❤
Your pooch, Moose, is adorable!! So cute seeing him in this video!! Loved seeing him look at the sleigh and white bottle brush trees on the floor!! So cute!! Liked how you changed things to your style. I'd love to re-do some of my stuff, too!! Great idea! You need to do this with other holidays!! It would be fun to see!! Tyfs!
Great job updating your old Christmas decor! Last year I spray painted all these snowmen I had collected over the years. This is my husband and my 31st Christmas married and those snowmen were old and dingy. I sprayed them all solid white and put them up with Target’s dollar spot trees that I gave a flocked look to with some chalk paint. Everyone that saw them raved even my hubby who only puts up the tree and the outside lights. Thanks for sharing!
I had to combine 3 households in the last few years and this year we went through everything that we didn't think we want and donated to a local church for their bazaar. Love your redesigning ideas.
Love these! I think maybe spray painting those gold reindeer white could make them look high end and go with other neutral decor (and that way also be used passed Christmas).
Absolutely loved this video! Was such a fun different take on diy decor. We all have some older decor floating around so this is a video style I’d love to see you do again with different seasons and holidays!
We cater every year for Thanksgiving from a very high-end restaurant and I absolutely love Thanksgiving! It is so worth it and so lovely you really get to spend all the time with family and no stress in the kitchen
Moose! What a sweet addition to the video as usual. Loved it when he was up on the bed having a blast! This was a great video, giving people ideas to update old decor...very green!
Ok so first off..this is the single most useful video I have seen yet this season! We all have so much decor that is dated and it is absolute genius to think about ways to repurpose! Your attic..looks like every normal persons attic..so glad that you showed it! I
This was a fun video. I think we all have Christmas decor we put away, forget all about it and, when we take it out again, we can't imagine buying it at all! My favorite updates are the reindeer stocking holders, repainted and mounted on the mantle, and the gold tree covered with the red sweater strips. I also appreciate the tip about hanging a wreath with ribbon and attaching it to a command hook! What a great idea! Thanks Liz!
Yours is the first time I’ve seen this repurposing decor ideas! I love that-it’s what I’ve been doing for years and I feel you on wanting to change up the color scheme year over year. I loved all your tips and ideas in this vid. And your daughter’s room is gorgeous!
Absolutely loved how you used stuff you already had. It's inspiring me to update all my old Christmas decor and make it new again. What a great way to save money.
What I found the most helpful and loved was giving new life to things you already have AND that you showed what adhesive you use. It's difficult to find what works. Thank you for that.
I absolutely love the blue sweater on the 1st redo! I would buy that in a heart beat! Never in a million years would I have thought of cutting a sweater and repurposing it!! Thank you!
I love the bucket with the jumper material wrapped around it , the reindeer stocking hangers , the sleigh with the trees and the reindeer platter holder . Can’t wait to see more thank you Liz
Omg! THANK YOU!!!! Someone else who agrees!!!! Traditional Thanksgiving Food is not a favorite in our family either! The person cooking never wants to eat it by the time it’s done, it’s an all day thing, there are SO MANY LEFTOVERS- SO! We started a tradition a few years ago and we decided we would grill steaks and make whatever our favorite side is. It’s so much more chill and everyone is less grumpy by the end of the day. 🥰
I appreciate how you demonstrate the use of sprays/ adhesives and the antique rub you placed on the spray painted deer! I feel you always are searching products that allows your subscribers to see what else is available! Thank you so much… I also enjoy the fact the your family is involved in your productions!! That warms my heart!! Happy weekend.. Ellen from PA❤️
The flower arrangement went from drab to fab! The black reindeer were a great recycle. You gave the house a beautiful metallic color. Table runner - Even though the tree turned out pretty, I cringed when you cut up the table runner! The sleigh is super cute with the trees packed in. The reindeer transformed into a unique, stylish Christmas decor/serving dish.
Liz, don't feel bad: my daughter doesn't like Turkey day food either! Thank you for inspiring me to take another look and see how I can renew the old decor! Love these ideas!
Before bucket & ikea green was mmm ok, but the snow, sweater wrap and ornaments transforms those items to a cozy elegant vibe! I'm definitely going to a find a sweater and use this DIY restyle! Thanks!
Girl, that would be so fun to dig into all those Christmas goodies and make new, fun stuff. And yes, I always forget what I have in my bins. Love the transformation of the plant. Love the dear! Thanks for sharing everything.
Liz, I love this video you have to do more like it. I have got so much old decor it would blow your mind it has set in the garage attic for years. I don't know what to do with it. Thank you for these great ideas. You are #1.
After watching a lot of minimalist videos, it was so cool to see all your boxes of stuff! I have about 5 boxes in my shed that I was going to throw out, but now I'm going to update instead!! Thank you so much 💕💕
Loved the deer transformation with the rub & buff. I have a large church that I wanted to update. I thought I would get a spray can of white chalk paint....until I saw the silver spray paint. Love it. TFS
I’m with you on thanksgiving foods. Now that my kids are all grown, and have different houses to go to for thanksgiving, we have thanksgiving tacos the Saturday or Sunday after thanksgiving. That way everyone gets something different at my house, plus it’s easy to make and easy to clean, but everyone can make them their way. And no one has to eat turkey and stuffing over and over in November and December. lol.
Oh, just heard you about Thanksgiving foods! I like stuffing and pumpkin pie( or anything pumpkin) I don't like Turkey! We are gonna do a roast this thx giving.🙏👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏😘💚
Liz- I loved this video. You always seem so polished and poised and this one showed a messier- albeit not very messy- side of you. What great ways to upcycle. Makes me want to go shopping in my attic where I will mostly certainly hit my head too!
I am so glad you showed Chris cutting the board. I had a long board I wanted to cut like that but I was afraid and ended up using my jig saw, and I screwed that up. Now, I know I can.
Wow thanks for showing how to update ...I didn't even know what the going to style is/was You have such good taste and your project always look so appealing.
These transformations were fabulous!! Please do more like this. I have LOTS of Christmas decorations that I don’t really use anymore but I don’t want to get rid of them, restyling them is a great idea!! Keep the ideas coming, I love your creativity!! 😃❤️😘
I love videos that include Delaney. She is amazing behind the scenes and should get more appreciation. Right off the bat I wanted that tree in the white pot.
Clutterbug has the same type of attic. I’d be scared to be up there by myself. Your attic looked great as far as not be too full. You have some cool stuff. We always bring out old Christmas pictures, especially Santa with the various children on his lap. Love the bucket arrangement and love this type of video. Love the reindeer stocking holders and silver houses.
Ok, I've been watching your videos for a while now, but I have never commented before. I also do NOT like Thanksgiving foods and I'm the only one I know who feels that way. It was so nice to hear that I'm not the only one. Also, I love this idea of remaking old decor. Thank you for all the different varieties of videos you produce.
I did use your yarn ball ideal and created tall Christmas trees, I found fuzzy yarn that looked like snow. and started at the tip and worked my way down. Then I took some bridal wired blink and attached it looked so adorable, thanks to you!!
I almost donated a old wooden church. It was burgundy and green and not stylish at allll. It was my maw maws. I thought one day, what would I think if I saw this at a thrift store? I immediately realized I needed to just give it a makeover! Now it’s a gorgeous winter wonderland farmhouse style church! It’s a stunner. Nothing like it!🥰
I have about 15 tubs of Christmas decorations in storage. I keep a separate sheet with the contents of each tub, i.e., tub 1 - poinsettias, 2 - lights, etc. It really helps each year. And each year I purge some items. With three grandsons, our home tends to be more whimsical decor.
Loved this. The reindeer cookie plate holder was pretty genius and it turned out great. Up to the attic for me. Who knows what I will find. Thanks for the inspiration
For hanging wreaths you can take a ribbon you like that you attach a wreath to and using a thumbtack nail it in on the top edge of your door. I did that a few years ago and it has held up. I use the same ribbon for all of my wreaths. No command hooks visible or any suction cups falling off! :) If it holds up to Canadian weather it will hold up anywhere!
Wow!!! Fantastic transformations!! I ABSOLUTELY love vids demonstrating ways to update and reuse what you already have!! Thanks so much for all the tips and ideas!!❤️🎄
I loved this video! It was so fun to watch and see the side comments! Your a inspiration for all kinds of decor and I learn so much no matter what your format! Thank you from the bottom of my not so crafty heart!
All of the are nice, loved them all. It was very nice to re-DIY the old stuff and this video gave me a lot of ideas for my own decorations. Thanks again :)

You are a genius!!!

I’m in tears watching you cut that beautiful red table runner. I think you sort all of your stuff by style instead of color. I think your videos are amazing. TFS.
I love the little houses spray painted with the metallic paint. It makes them look very high end.
Thank you for utilizing old decor and making it new. Recycling what you already have is the best for the environment and your pocketbook!
I love the idea of remaking out of date or worn decorations and turning them into your current style. So much better than constantly buying new things. More cost effective and less waste. Love this idea! Its so refreshing to see items repurposed , reused and recycled into something new again.

Cool! I love how you just “shopped” at home and made some new, beautiful Christmas decor.
I had to combine 3 households in the last few years and this year we went through everything that we didn't think we want and donated to a local church for their bazaar. Love your redesigning ideas.
Love this! This is a great. Do more. Encourages others to recycle and have fresh new decor. It would be fun for every Holiday and season.❤

Love the deer and plate diy! How clever!!
This was a fun video. I think we all have Christmas decor we put away, forget all about it and, when we take it out again, we can't imagine buying it at all! I absolutely love the blue sweater on the 1st redo! I would buy that in a heart beat! Never in a million years would I have thought of cutting a sweater and repurposing it!! Thank you!
Love this!!!! More please!
And- how about how to freshen up the home for winter after all the wonderful Christmas decor comes down!
I love the bucket with the jumper material wrapped around it , the reindeer stocking hangers , the sleigh with the trees and the reindeer platter holder . Can’t wait to see more thank you Liz

I would have raised the front feet up a little. Like having it "stand/step" on a log to create the level surface for the antlers to hold the plate.
great idea, her plate wasn't level in the end....
The silver village would also look good with a “mercury” finish.
I appreciate how you demonstrate the use of sprays/ adhesives and the antique rub you placed on the spray painted deer! Love all the DIYs, Liz. Yes, I want to see more like this. I have an attic full of 33 years of Christmas decorations. I’d love to redo and reuse!
The flower arrangement went from drab to fab! The black reindeer were a great recycle. You gave the house a beautiful metallic color. Table runner - Even though the tree turned out pretty, I cringed when you cut up the table runner! The sleigh is super cute with the trees packed in. I thought the sleigh would have been cute painted red…,just lightly, like a stain….

Yes, more decor makeovers please! I hate throwing decor out because it's not the latest trend. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Darlene AK Stay Awhile! Thanks so much for watching my video. 😊

WOW you did great, reusing lots of your old projects!
Thanks for the boost of creativity!
I have SOOOOO many old Christmas items. Ready to dive in and give them a fresh look 🌟
First thing I would do: Get a full-size frame and door installed in the closet!
After watching a lot of minimalist videos, it was so cool to see all your boxes of stuff! I have about 5 boxes in my shed that I was going to throw out, but now I'm going to update instead!! Thank you so much 💕💕
To each his own! You are not weird at all! We are all different! Liz , you do you!!!♥️♥️♥️👍👍😀
I love your ideas specifically the bucket refurbished with the sweater beautiful.
Loved the deer transformation with the rub & buff. I have a large church that I wanted to update. I thought I would get a spray can of white chalk paint....until I saw the silver spray paint. Love it. TFS
I'm so glad you love it, Edna Johnson. Have fun watching! 💕
Great ideas!! My favorite was the village you spray painted silver. So pretty!!

Yummm tacos for thanksgiving would be fantastic for me. My husband would insist on turkey though 😩. But I love your idea ❤️
I'm allergic to turkey so ham is always on the menu for me and mine
@@kimbrag3447 my husband is Australian/American, so he is happy to have tacos, as long as we have turkey at Christmas 😂
Already love the tree in the chamber pot!
