What a scandal that this guy is undervalued in British sport. Even when he beats the rest of the world he only merits a footnote in the sports coverage, yet he is the sort of fantastic role model kids need.

It's crazy how something really similar happened in the Rio Olympics this year; wins (gold) medal on floor, no time to celebrate, straight on to pommel horse, wins another (gold) medal in that too!!!

Too bad broadcast TV in the USA only focuses on USA athletes (no matter how mediocre). I just, by chance today, saw Max's gold-medal winning performance on pommel horse; was thrilled; went online to see how he'd done on other apparatus: saw that he had also won floor exercise! (Couldn't live-stream it, but watched the YT of his WC performance, which was spectacular.) I'll subscribe to this channel now with hopes of seeing more of Max, Lewis, and rest of Great British Team (too bad we in USA no longer have "Universal Sports" broadcast channel (which would broadcast total (!) coverage of all major sports, i.e., gymnastics, ice-skating, skiing, cycling, Olympics, World Championships, etc., replays for hours late at night so all of who had to be at work during day could enjoy seeing the best international athletes ( no matter what country they're from) compete).

Lauramartha ... By simple, extraordinary, sheer luck I stumbled across coverage of a number of events that were broadcast (over YT) from South Africa Broadcasting Co. (SABC). The unfortunate part is that they were removed from YT shortly after all the Olympics events were completed. When I went back to watch a few again, they were gone. There was some relatively decent coverage of the gymnastics events, although it didn't cover ALL the gymnasts' performances, but certainly much, much more than the useless media in the US. I have since been looking for the BBC's edited coverage on YT to no avail. That must have something to do with exclusivity and copyright although I can't imagine who would have claimed those rights. All that remained as of a few days ago were some rowing events and pieces of the equestrian events on the SABC channel and snippets on the Olympic channel. I am now wondering if we will ever have access to the competitions at all.

I learned, from last Olympics (Sochi) that it takes about 2 years for the Olympics committee to allow many of the full competitions on YT (I had been looking for ice-skating, and, like you, the videos posted by nice people in Europe and Asia came and went/were taken down pretty regularly); however, after 2 years, apparently the Olympic people allowed some uploaders to post entire competitions from the Winter Olympics (British Eurosport, Spanish TV, Italian TV, Japanese TV, etc., and even some from the U.S. So, I'll just subscribe to the channels of the people who like the sports I do and wait for the Olympic Committee people to keep the Rio competition up. It happens all during the year (not just Olympics): I could only live-stream for free the 2015 World Championships of Figure Skating via Russian Eurosport (even though announcers talked through entire competition); but later on, British Eurosport et al. were allowed to post the entire competitions....so it's a matter of research and waiting. :)

lauramartha3 lauramartha ... Thank you for your info. I will keep tabs on those postings from time to time. I have, on a couple of occasions, stumbled into Spanish and Russian postings of some events. There is no doubt in my mind that those two countries' commentators get paid by the word. :) Although I could pick out a word or two in Russian when their gymnastics commentators hesitate (which seldom happens), my ears are too slow and incompetent to grasp and process anything from their rapid-fire commentary. lol

+nagayuddha hahaha I was thinking about that, it's scary enough to work with pommels fearing your legs may hit them... can't imagine having your head hitting them haha, but iif it's ever done it should be rated as a W value for WTF!
